Check out this snippet of new material from Rihanna, who, while still promoting Good Girl Gone Bad: Reloaded (she’s releasing a video for “Rehab,” the Timbaland-produced track and collaboration with Justin Timberlake), is in the recording process for her fourth studio album. Given the articles and interviews that Rihanna has had recently, this doesn’t really line up with the direction that she was talking about. But we’ll see.

I’m happy that Fefe Dobson is still doing her thing. “Pepper Spray” is new material from her, and she’s been rumored to be releasing a new album at the top of 2009. I’m glad too, considering that her sophomore album, Sunday Love was never released. I’ve been fan of Fefe’s for quite some time, and “Pepper Spray” is a little different direction than what I’m used to for her. It’s more ska inspired than her earlier material.

I really like Keyshia Cole on this hook. That’s really the only part I was checking for. Apparently, this was originally slated to be on the singles from Akon’s next album, Freedom, due out November 25th. I’m not sure how radio-friendly or catchy the song is. I think that Akon had some better songs in the pot to choose from, which is why this song got scrapped for single selection, but I actually really like how Keyshia sounds.

Upon first seeing the title of this song, I had a feeling that it was going to be about exactly what I thought it was about. Didn’t Bobby V. see that it didn’t work for Ray Lavender with “My Girl Got A Girlfriend?” It’s so funny that people glamorize this in songs, as if it happens in the average person’s real life. I’m a little disappointed. I hope this isn’t what Bobby comes with for this new album he’s about to drop.
I’m glad FeFe Dobson is back!. So she can take her swagger back from Rhianna! Rhianna stole her whole style.

Its amazing to m that ppl on here keep saying hoe RiRi can’t compare to Beyonce but they the ones always comparing them!I don’t see a Beyonce song on this list of 4.
Of course they can’t compare Beyonce is factory sealed and packaged and knows her market obviously she keep releasing the same shit that she keep stealing from other people and ya’ll say Rihanna need to be original.
Hmmm. Ciara has a hit Like a Boy and here come Beyonce with If I Were A Boy Oh and in a black and white video just like Ciara’s, Alicia Keys biggest album, As I Am and here come picture perfect Beyonce with her album I Am. And she giving that same speech that come with every album about how its the most personal etc. etc. How easily we forget that Beyonce went to court for stealing another real artist song.
She obviously know good music and want so much to be respected in that light and I don’t mean to take away from her ability she can sing and dance but she really just the original Brittney Spears but she a bit more grounded than to fall off like that.
Rihanna still trying to find herself and I’m not saying the girl can blow but now that she at least a little more free from the labels ideals she doing what comes more naturally to her, just like Beyonce.
You see FeFe is allowed back out now that Def Jam see its cool for Rihanna to go that route now they trying to make room for what they already had and was afraid of.
And yes I’m kind of feeling the pepper spray joint.
If you guys actually listened to songs with lyrics instead of just catchy hooks you might learn to like both RiRi and Beyonce for what they are or at least more than the same ole same ole.
Rihanna’s song is absolutely terrible! I just feel like all the artist are tryna be way tooo different and its coming across all wrong.
I love Dobson’s song peper spray . . . I thought it sounded really cool.
And as for Akon . . . Everything he does sounds the same to me. He’s so 2 years ago.
And Bobby is trying to start a new trend that I pray to God won’t catch on.
Hello… that Fefe Song is HAWT… don’t stop listening becasue it starts slow… it picks up at the chrous… I love the song and everyone I played it for in my house loves it.
Rihanna song sucks she is finally getting some competition since britney and beyonce are back… All i can say about her is she dresses fierce.. talent wise she is nothing spectacular and for 2007 and the beginning of 08 she was the only artist to really listen to but finally she has some real competition and that song just aint gone cut it!!!

We all know Rihanna gets no love from the BeyStans on the loop.. However, I like her song. I use to like Beyonce but her greed for money got in the way. I remember when MJB came out all the time and yes she remade a lot of songs. I think the problem people have with the Rihanna is because they can’t stand to see another person shine. It’s like they feel soo threatened when a female gets more shine than Beyance and I mean any other artists.
