Is Kelly Rowland about to put together a new album? After the disappointing sales of her sophomore effort, 2007′s flash in the pan Ms. Kelly, Rowland hightailed it overseas and gave interviews where she revealed that she was working on a third album.
Although I’m not mad at the song, I’m hoping that “Blaze” is something from the sessions Kelly held for Ms. Kelly because she can’t keep giving us this same sound, if she wants to remain relevant in the United States. So what do you think?

Umm im really on team kelly. She’s been my fav DC3 girl from No no no days. But I just dont see how DC3 can have so much god song but kelly cant get 1. I dont like any of the songs from Ms. Kelly with the exception of “Like This”, which again was poor writing with a decent beat.

I really cant really find nothing wrong wit the song. Expect for Mad scientist (producer) screaming energy/mayday thru out the song. Kelly have a senual voice and i think midtempo’s is best for her voice, but people keep waitin for a hot dance track. And im not sure thats best for her best becuz when she performs up tempos her voice goes very low.

I really like this. This will be going on the ipod. It’s a cool mid tempo track. I could imagine Brandy killing this. This sounds just like a joint she would do, you can hear the influence.
I think #5 got it right about the views about Kelly.I think people are expecting her to break out with this smash single and CD to outdo the other R&B chicks out here, which some of her peers have obviously made it their goal to do, but I don’t think Kelly is really about that. She could’ve easily ran to the producers and songwriters everybody and their mama are going to, but she’s sticking to her guns and doing music that she’s comfortable with. I respect her for that. She may not be well recieved here, which is not suprising, look at the garbage that’s high on the charts. Who would’ve thought Soulja Boy for instance would ever go platiunm. It’s so sad, the value of music has definitely changed. All most people care about is a catchy hook and beat and who’s better than who, rather than just appreciating the music itself. The idea or competition overshadows talent and effort now. Such a shame. SMH.

I think kelly does have some good songs but she never releases the right ones. For instance still in love with my ex was a great song but she didn’t release it as her first or second single! That made no sense because that was a song that people loved even before she released the album.
People don’t buy into her because they feel shes still stuck in beyonce’s shadow, she hasn’t got her own identity as a person and that reflects in her music. At least Michelle went and tried something different, she made more of an effort to get her album out there. Both of those girls need new management and a new label because matthew and columbia are never going to give them the attention that beyonce gets, thats the reality. However I doubt other labels will even have them.
I like it, and i think Kelly is underrated.

Well, I listened to the song. It is OK. But, now what I would expect from a former DC3 member!
Kelly doesn’t exude the power she did when she was with Destiny’s Child. She really needs to “ween” herself (which I believe will happen living in London) from her old image and get more comfortable being a solo artist.
If she doesn’t, she will continue to release bottom barrel songs. That effort was not bad at all, so I def respect her game!

For Kelly, I think her being in Destiny’s Child has really hexed her. All these comparisons is whats killing her image. I’m not a fan of her music but if she needs to become a top singer then she needs to get rid of Matthew Knowles and work with an aggressive promotion team that can define her uniqueness and dominate the music scene.
