I’m not usually an Avant fan (always been like a rip-off R. Kelly to me), but I like this one.
I like Avant I still play his first cd allt he time but everything he does sounds the same.
I dig it. I’m not a huge fan of Avant but I heard this on the radio and actually dug it. Not sure if this is enough to pick up an album but its a start. Big upps Avant.

Avant doesn’t always bring it single wise, but he is one of the few only solid r&b artist. I mean, if Chris Brown was doing this type of r&b, you wouldn’t be able to take it seriously.

Me, my husband and daughter were having a late lunch/early dinner at Applebee’s in Harper Woods, MI two Saturdays ago, and Avant and his security team came in. When I say NO ONE but me recognized Avant, it is not an exaggeration.
I’m a HUGE Avant fan – I had to play “4 Minutes” on my iPod to “explain” to my husband who he was. I can’t wait until he drops a new CD – “Director” is still in heavy rotation on my iPod.
People kill me talkin about R. Kelly…I mean aside from the fact that he got caught doing something he definitely was not to supposed to, he is still a great artist. Avant is one of the TRUEST, SMOOTHEST, and might I add SEXIEST R&B artists out there today. His style is unlike anyone else’s (including R. Kelly). The only problem I have where Avant is concerned is that he is one of those artists, like Tamia, who actually has true talent, but does not get enough props. I’m glad he’s still around though, because we need music like his. Enough with all the hip-hop and pop music; we need the kind of music Avant delivers. Music that talks about loving and making love to your woman, respecting and being respectful of your woman…ya know? Not a lot of today’s artists care to sing about that. Most of them are too busy singing AT women, telling them what they have and what they can do for them and then have the audacity to call women golddiggers when they get with a woman who only wants them for the material things they’ve been singing about. What the heck do they expect? Avant is singing TO women, about love….not material things. That’s what the music business has been missing for a very long time. As for the video for his latest single; it might not fit the song completely, but I’m sure that we all can understand the concept behind the video. And for the record, his latest CD is actually very good. I suggest tracks 1,2,4,5,6,7,10 and 11. Avant, keep doing what you do …..and that is making good music.
