This is unbelievable. Earlier this year Ciara announced that her album Fantasy Ride would be split into 3 discs representing mid-tempos , ballads and high energy dance songs. One disc was called Crunktown, the other Groove City and the final disc would be called Kingdom of Dance.

I like the video, but the song still sucks. I can’t even get through the first minute of it. The lyrics are so stupid and the melody is so damn predictable. After 10+ years in the music business, I can’t believe Beyonce is getting away with such an underwelmng song. When you’ve been in the business this long, you should be an innovator. This sounds like some left over song from a Miley Cyrus or some other Disney Channel pop sensation. If this was a new artist people wouldn’t give this song the time of day. It’s a mess. It’s bad enough that its a remake. Is she still claiming writing credits on songs that already exist? I thought “resentment” and “still in love” were embarrassing enough.

I’m sure the “Single Ladies” video will be great, but it doesn’t make up for what a whack song it is. However, radio will do right by her label and play these songs until you can’t help but to like them. They’ve already started!
