The concepts of the song, video, album, and over all look is nowhere near even remotely similar to Ciara’s “Like A Boy”. As an artist Ciara is only able to sell one thing in my opinion and that is her dancing skill, I have yet to see her do a live vocal performance that can even breathe in Beyonce’s live vocal performance. Ciara can dance and that is the extent of it. Her latest singles havent been up to par because she doesnt think outside the box as far as her music is concerned, each album has been similar to the first, which is one of the reasons she had to show her ass on Vibe, but then when she got negative feedback from it, she wanted to pull it back, she is afraid to be different, whereas Beyonce in my opinion isnt, which is probably why we often never see her adress the haters because they are irrelevant. Not everyone is going to like her music, but she will always put in the extra time and effort to make good music for the ones that do enjoy her. I respect her for that.

I really like the video, in fact, this is the best Beyonce video I have seen to date. This the best also acting I’ve seen from Beyonce. The lyrics are cool, but I don’t care for the melody of the song. I do think she copied Ciara, but she did do it differently, and incorporated more acting. Overall, the video is great, but the melody of the song could have been better. I wouldn’t listen to this song on the radio, but I love this video.

I just went to her website and read the “letter to the fans” to see if I was wrong. And nope, she said nothing about co-producing or co-writing anything. All she said was that she recorded 70 songs.
So I dont know where the claim she took writing credits for this song came from…

Beyonce is a pretty young lady so of course if you add perfect make up from the best make up artist, perfect hair from the best hair stylist, perfect wigs, technological advances to alter images, and perfect scenes and angles from the best cinematographer then yes it will look good.
