Wow, At first I wasn’t really feeling it I mean i didn’t think it was bad more like a song that needed to grow on me. Now this is the second time listening to it and I love it the video supports the song really well. No sracth that it harmonizes well together I enjoyed it.

-Nowhere in this Beyonce did Beyonce dress herself as a man and act like one. She carried herself as a woman the entire time.

-Nowhere in Ciara’s video was she a police officer.

-Nowhere in Ciara’s video was there a story line, just dancing in male clothes and female clothes. Beyonce did not dance and emulate men at all.

-Nowhere in Beyonce’s video was there a male costar that just sat there the whole time, did not talk, and only have Beyonce dance around them the whole time.

-Ciara’s video had no dialogue at all, Beyonce’s did.

-Most importantly. Ciara’s song is talking about how she could act like a boy purely. Beyonce’s song is talking about how if she were a boy she would treat a woman different, be a better man, and at the end of the song she ends up realizing it won’t work. Ciara’s song did not have any type of transition at all from out of the “I would do this and that if I were a guy”.

So again tell me how this video a rip off of Ciara’s video, and how is the song an exact copy? Let me know. If that’s the case noone can make black and white videos n e more.

Best video she has ever done, but the song is still garbage…and if another artist came out with this song, people would be ripping them a new one, despite the video….but because it’s beyonce, some are trying their hardest to find something nice to say about it just cause its her. This is an absolutely stunning video. Love the story line. The male models, the black and white dude are both gorgeous and Beyonce looks stunning. Sometimes she overdoes it with her look but she is just pretty and natural here so its much easier to see how gorgeous she is. I wish men would put themselves in our position sometimes. I like the video, but the song still sucks. I can’t even get through the first minute of it. The lyrics are so stupid and the melody is so damn predictable. After 10+ years in the music business, I can’t believe Beyonce is getting away with such an underwelmng song. When you’ve been in the business this long, you should be an innovator. This sounds like some left over song from a Miley Cyrus or some other Disney Channel pop sensation. If this was a new artist people wouldn’t give this song the time of day. It’s a mess. It’s bad enough that its a remake. Is she still claiming writing credits on songs that already exist? I thought “resentment” and “still in love” were embarrassing enough.

Do any of you put this much emphasis into your own careers? I think so many people lack substance that they have to overly praise or discredit someone elses success…because they don’t feel confident in themselves! We can wish all these ladies the best…..because that is what we should want for ourselves. Everyone is different and does not possess the same talents, but everytime I come on this site there is always a debate about Beyounce being the QUEEN and how the rest of the women in entertainment can’t compare to her. I like the video, but I’m just not really into this song. It is like she is trying to go “too” pop, I mean, I just can’t get into this. Even though she rearranged the concept, the idea is still copied from Ciara. She even said before how much she loves Ciara’s style, so she borrowed…………….POINT BLANK. The that is not my main concern. The concern is, this song will be dry on radio, and I know R&B stations are hesitant to play it, but I know they will play it anyway because it’s Beyonce, and they will shove it down our throats regardless. “Single Ladies” is just as dry, why would you release a followup that sounds like a BDAY leftover? I was really into her last record after hearing “Deja Vu,” ” Deja Vu “was hot. I’m sorry, but I think Rihanna’s star has gotten so big since she took a break, she will have a hard time, believe it or not, the chick got hot fast.

I think that the song, and definitely the video, is a definite step in the right direction for Beyonce. I mean, it would’ve taken her to take her own self seriously before anyone else could; and I think that’s what she did with this effort.

Personally, I would need to hear a bit more from her new album to decide if I’d like to purchase it or not; but, if any of her other songs are even remotely as thoughtful, and provoking, as this song is, then I may have to add her CD to my list.

Also, I’m glad that Beyonce is beginning to mature, and to understand that sublty and simplicity can be more. And by her not trying to over do her sound, and the image(s) that she brings to it, it makes her appear more sincere and more authentic.

The concepts of the song, video, album, and over all look is nowhere near even remotely similar to Ciara’s “Like A Boy”. As an artist Ciara is only able to sell one thing in my opinion and that is her dancing skill, I have yet to see her do a live vocal performance that can even breathe in Beyonce’s live vocal performance. Ciara can dance and that is the extent of it. Her latest singles havent been up to par because she doesnt think outside the box as far as her music is concerned, each album has been similar to the first, which is one of the reasons she had to show her ass on Vibe, but then when she got negative feedback from it, she wanted to pull it back, she is afraid to be different, whereas Beyonce in my opinion isnt, which is probably why we often never see her adress the haters because they are irrelevant. Not everyone is going to like her music, but she will always put in the extra time and effort to make good music for the ones that do enjoy her. I respect her for that.

The lyrics are cool, but I don’t care for the melody of the song. I do think she copied Ciara, but she did do it differently, and incorporated more acting. This is one of the best things Beyonce’s ever done. the video is great, she’s so much more appealing stripped down without all the drag queen make-up. I already liked the song but the video made me like it more. Like I say in most of my posts about Beyonce, I do like her and her talent I just hate when she gets overly praised for sub par work. Here she remembered to add the substance and it’s paid off with the majority of her audience hater and stan alike mostly liking it as a result.

Lastly, it was good to see her playing the bad girl for once as she hasn’t been that versatile siince the Writing’s On The Wall days with Temptations and Confession. My only complaint was that she didn’t stay in charater throughout the whole vid. It would have been more ironic if she had been saying ‘Look girls, we slag off men at every opportunity but a lot of us are just as bad!’

This video is boring as hell! WTF is up with the black n white themes in her two new videos? This song sucks ASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! It’s so stupid. I can’t believe people really like this sh*t. It makes me wanna go to sleep. She’s a horrible actress and the video was very off. There was no chemistry between her and the guy and she looked like she was actually shooting a damn video! Everything was unbelievable. Oh and… even with a serious video and song, she still manages to find a way to reveal her body when changing in the locker room. Something very unecessary. Is there one popular R&B singer who doesn’t sell sex or their bodies in music videos anymore?

@ #89 you’ve go to be kidding me. Are u for real? You really think Ciara is a force to be reckoned with? Yeah riiiggghhhttt. All of those people you mentioned are legends and they have proven themselves to be some of the best entertainers in the business. Their music is timeless and will forever be played from generation to generation. These are some of the most revered names in the entertainment industry. I honestly believe Ciara will never ever reach that type of fame. Yes Ciara has her fan base but to say she will be on the same level as these people is ludicrous. If Ciara is the future of music then music is headed down a very dark path and needs to be rescued immediately.
