I don’t like this song at all, but I appreciate the video. It seems to pay much respect to diana and the supremes along with a mixture of old madonna…not the new madonna stuff. The dance steps are nice and her choreographer did a great job with it. He must be a choreographer for HBCU cheerleaders. I heard that many HBCU’s hire professionals for their moves. That explains why southern women like Beyonce and southern HBCU cheerleaders be killin it. Much respect goes to BEE cause trust me those steps take much patience and endurance to learn so you can’t hate.

People and thier obsession with comparisons are beyond crazy. First off both ladies are great at dancing and dance two completely different styles. Ciara is more like a street dancer/ freestylist. Beyonce is a more choreographed dancer. Both are great ways to dance so I don’t understand why one must be better than the other. If you are artistic you would learn to appreciate both styles and both women.

Hey Brian is your friend the choreographer, the one who choreogrraphs Virginia State and Hampton University? The jet setting and whole routine is exactly like theirs and I was told they have professional chorepgraphers that make them so great.

I like videos that go along with the song so this is leaving me less than enthused. The dancing is not the problem…the lack of a story line is. I think the dancing would have been okay if there was a plot to mirror the lyrics.

I think her dance movement and her voice were good, but her music is the same. There’s nothing different. I think her music is for a younger generation (under 21). She is pushing 30 and need to make more mature music. As she gets older, it going to be time out for shaking and wearing reveiling clothes to prove a point that you got it. She’s a pretty girl and got a nice voice,but she is going to have to change her style as she gets older. She is the it girl now, but all of that will fade. I would like to see her move to the direction as Celion Dione or Toni Braxtion level as she gets older. She has the voice and the fans. I am not taking about fame or money wise. I am talking about maturity.

I am very much a Beyonce fan. I honestly believe that she is a great entertainer. Beyonce has worked very hard to be in an elite group of entertainers. I do feel the need to address some of the comments that various people have left on this blog. She also managed to find love and she didn’t run through a huge number of men to do so. I am not trying to list everything about Beyonce, but the point is you people are calling her names and saying really mean stuff about a woman that basically has her “SHIT” together. It is wrong, mean, and hateful. I feel like if you dislike her song, then just say you don’t like it, but these personal character attacks that some of you are doing is stupid. As for the Ciara, Rihanna, Ashanti, Jazmine Sullivan, and the rest of the pact are all good artists. They have different things that they are good at and things that they lack. How can anyone expect Beyonce to “grow” as an artist beyond where she is? The sister has lived anything other than a regular life since she was a teenager. She has had to shelter herself from real people because of her notoriety and fame, spends most of her time around her closest family members, has few friends or outside influences and has admitted in countless interviews that she’s content being that way (Michael Jackson anyone?). This girl has a very limited scope and her level of exposure to most things that “regular” people go through is hindered as a result.

When I saw this video it totally confirmed how much of a one trick pony she is. She started off selling sex and booty shaking and she has to keep it that way because that’s all she knows. How can she be deep? Where would she acquire any depth from? lol. The song has already been done and the video has already been done. But I expected that. She’s just not doing anything we haven’t seen a million times before.

I must say as a Beyonce fan I was kinda dissappointed. I was really excited and expecting her to come in with a bang. The videos are pretty cool, but the songs are weak. This is very meaningless and with music going down the drain pretty much I thought she would take a growth and maturity approach to her music because she said she wanted to be an icon. So far much of her music will not be memorable once this generation gets older and leave the clubs (IMO). Her music is good to dance to don’t get me wrong cause I get down to it when I’m out with my girls, but in the future I will not be saying this is my song and turning up the radio.

As far as the dancing goes, it’s cool but if you attended a historically black college like I have or have been on a black drill team, this is nothing new to you because the cheerleaders do this at every football game.
