There are so many talented people in the US but you guys have a real messed up mentality when it comes to being successful in music. It’s almost all about image in the US, especially in Urban music, and that means a lot of sistas that aren’t as ‘beautiful’ (light skinned, long weave, curvaceous) have to fight so hard to get noticed and are often passed over for someone with LESS talent that just looks ‘better’. It’s a shame cos i really can’t think of many ‘darker skinned’ ladies doing it big in music today.
