I’m officially convinced Jazmine’s management team is low budget, which sucks considering she’s signed to J Records. Video was disappointing but still doesn’t negate the sheer greatness of the song. It currently stands in at #28 on the R&B charts so we’ll see if Ms. Sullivan manages to seize another deserved #1!

I completely agree with you on the fact that they don’t know how to accomodate JAzmin Sullivan which dissappoints me. They are treating her like a low end artist when this woman has an amazing voice that switches up on every song on her album. They definitely could’ve market this woman better like how they marketed Alicia Keys very first album that sold millions. Bust your windows gets so much airtime all over the R&B and pop charts which shows she has crossover appeal. This video should’ve have not been a regular video. It should’ve have had an oldertheme that was reminiscent to Billie Holiday and Dorothy Dandridge. I LOVE THE VIDEO… I’ve already watched it like four times… I got the point of it without seeing her bust out any windows. Read between the scenes! The broken glass symbolized that she did it and the spray paint on the walls coupled with the broken wine glasses was just her bringing to light about the fact that she could have and should have done more, but he was lucky that all she did was bust his windows.

J Records really failed with this one. Jazmine is an incredible talent that deserves the treatment of an Aretha Franklin, Gladys Knight, Whitney or a Mariah not a Mary J or a Keshia Cole (nothing against Mary and Keshia but). J went back but not far enough. This girl deserves great songs.

This kinda reminds me of Ashantis video for “The Way that I love you”. The song is catchy and since shes a new artist she will get a fair amount of radio play…”I Need You Bad” had her on the path for a Grammy or something….This sets her back BAD CHOICE>!

When Jazmine’s video for “Need U Bad” premiered, I was a bit unsettled with the overall direction of her image. It seemed to me that the voice was the least of the record companies worries, so why wouldn’t they pull out the stops for her videos and photography? The lighting was terrible and the choice of loud, bright colors for the wardrobe didn’t help.

All of the promotional photos released were a bit awkward as if an amateur photographer had been at the helms. Even more susprising was the cover art for her album, which features and illustrated version of an original picture hiding her eyes.

One thing that improved with the “Bust Your Windows” clip was definitely the lighting. Well, at certain times. The opening sequence felt like smoke and mirrors, literally — like dollar store smoke and mirrors– and a bit low budget. The makeup and outfit choice, down to the accessories, look a bit silly in that shot. The bright lipstick and overblushed cheeks wasn’t exactly a flattering look. In contrast, the scenes showing Jazmine in the house were better; she looked chic with the natural makeup and neutral lip color. As for the wardrobe, again, it was questionable although two short shots of Jazmine with the white open-collared shirt and the leather trench coat would have been more welcomed.

Aside from the makeup and clothing, the use of semi-animation as a transition to and from scenes was interesting. The wine glass segment, the fish tank incident and the spray paint were all noble notions as well.

Ultimately, the fact that Jazmine’s rage never escalated to her doing anything to deface her lover’s car was quite a let down. In fact, her beau was out driving his car while Jazmine went on her mini-wrecking spree. I was waiting for the Angela Bassett to come out so we could watch her pile the boyfriend’s clothes in the car and set it a blaze. Nothing close to that happenend. In fact she and her boyfriend we never within five feet of each other.

The end result is a lackluster, almost pointless video to an innovative, catchy song. Hopefully as with the first single, “Bust Your Windows” will become a hit in spite of a less-than-stellar video.

This is one of my fav song on Jaz album, it ain’t nothing new lyrics wise, but I just love vindictive songs like this, plus I’m really diggin the production and her voice. But video was just straight disappointment, and yes, yes cause there were no windows busted no scars on the hands…When I first heard the song I was already picturing the first shot where Jazmine comes up to the car and bust the damn windows…if you are on a low budget you dont have to bust the windows on a Range Rover or BMW or any other high-priced car, use your money wisely..the vid could have been a really good supplement to the song, but instead it was boring (the only interesting was the semi-animation in some parts) and Jaz acting was whack, she could have done better with showing her emotions and ish. Once again I’m not hating, I really like Jazmine, but the videos disappointed me..just IMO

I can see why some of these foreign countries ban these idiotic songs and “artists”, and call it Satan’s music. “Bust Your Windows”? What’s next? “Castrate a Nigga Because He Didn’t Call Me After I Gave Him Some”? Alot of sisters are gonna get themselves arrested, their asses whupped, or worse just off listening to this nonsense.

I love this song too. Her voice is amazing and I don’t know…this song kind of gives me an old school vibe. I love it. The video is ok, but i guess she couldn’t glorify violence on the video..gots to think of the kiddies i guess..lol.

Jazmine Sullivan is an amazing artist and she has made a place for herself in the industry. I love the song because I can definitely relate to the lyrics..literally…LOL! Even though Jazmine wasn’t able to bust any windows i love how they brought it across to the audience…In the song she says “I bust your windows out your car, you should be lucky that thats all I did” but in the video they showed her doing a whole lot more but then in actuality she only busted the windows, trailing the broken glass to the La Pearla garment on the bed in the bedroom. I totally love the concept of the video since she couldn’t really go off on the car!

The point of the hook is to evoke that deep sinking feeling you get when you get busted and your lover takes revenge. The car in the video was his paintings and his wine collection as they were all things that he cared about. In the end though, we saw the thick broken glass trail that led to the panties in the bed. The glass kind of looked like windshield glass. The video wanted us to use our imagination and I think it’s cool when the video is not a literal interpretation of the song. It causes of to think differently about what we hear and see.

i love jazmine and her album her voice is so soulfull and mature to be 21.
to be honest when i herd the song the first thing that came to minc was all the guys who didi me wrong. so when i would sing it or listen to it i pretent that it was me busted all the car windows house windows job windos im just was busten windows in my head i ws bringing the song to life turning the lyrics into an exact image of what it sounds like. but when i saw the video i was like what the fuck is this. she looked cute in the video it was an different look to it but the fact of the matter is that when people thought of that song they were relating to her and the lyrics from our owne persongal experience. so we all expected there to see her catching him cheating rolling up on his car and busting the shit out of his window and riding off into the dark oh and carving her initials into his car JS but is didnt happen and it was a dissapointment to some fans. so next time jazmine try to master the art of videography if thats even a word and try to bring the story of your song to life with the video pretend its a script and re enact it in your videos your fans will love u for it

I love this artist and this song. It was produced amazingly. It sounds like live instruments instead of studio tech. She has an amazing voice. I know I will be learning this. I love her and her music. Go Jazmine!!!!!!
