I think it is a nice video, the only copycat I notice is the rain scene from “Umbrella.” Other than that, the video was happenin.’ I think a lot of girls hate on her because she is one well crafted black woman, mentally and visually. I just don’t know what is going on with her promotion team. This is her 4th push back, she is on that Nicole Scherzinger role right now, if she gets one more push back, she might just have to go back to working behind the scenes on other artist’s albums. In fact, I think that 2008 has officially deemed “YEAR OF ALBUM PROMO FAILURE” for a lot of artists. Damn this music business.

Honestly there is no such thing as originality anymore.Everything comes from somewhere.So if Keri felt the need to re-enact those videos so be it .And unless she takes credit for writing the treatment for this , it might not even be her fault .Seeing how the director has worked with almost everyone mentioned.

Melina is a MUSIC VIDEO DIRECTOR. You can always tell her music videos when you watch them. It’s just like Hype “Letterbox” Williams in the 90s, and it’s not necessarily a bad thing. She has to develop a brand for herself just like any other artist to be successful in a jaded and crowded industry.

(Oh, and if you REALLY wanna know which Melina video this looks like, it’s Kylie’s In Your Arms. Good thing Melina was smart enough to know that most of the people watching Keri Hilson videos probably can’t recall that one.)

Everything is wrong, from her image to her sound. She can sing better than a lot of other artists, but her songs don’t show her vocal prowess. Her image makes her look like a boot legged Rihanna, the video looks like a cheap video that they tried to make look expensive.

Her label/management seem to think that by putting her in other peoples videos that will make her more famous, but most people outside of america have no idea who she is. Plus her image makes her forgettable. I think she is better off as a songwriter than an artist because the material she gives herself is really bad.

i knew someone would say something like that….the difference is, when pharrell makes a track or hype directs a video.. they use signature ELEMENTS (ie the letterbox)…they don’t have their artists doing the same shots, on the same sets.
With this video, Melina has 2 different artists doing just that, which is just lazy. (ie the scene where Keri is in the tiled room is similar to ciara’s office scene, the “Big Brother” screen in some of the shots, the choreography shots in all black, the seated choreography on the chair) … to make matters worse, “Go Girl” JUST came out, so it actually feels like she recycled the treatment…

if she just reused some of the “distortion” effects she’s been using, that’d be cool. That’s a signature. But I think she did Keri a disservice with this video by not giving her somehing unique with ELEMENTS

Yall swear KERI was the creative director on this and she decided to choose scenes from other videos.. SMH.. yall REALLY need to sit down and get educated on how the industry works.

Well…I agree that the video is ripping off alot of other videos (no need to mention names) the only scene that really stuck out was the multiple mirror scene when she was in the pink dress…seen that b4. I think she is trying to duplicate the success of The Way I Are which is a smart move, but not sure if the song is catchy enough. Nonetheless she looks good in the vid, she is a natural beauty. Makeup is fierce for the scene in the pink dress. Not feeling the dance moves near the end, dancing in water with the chunky jewlery tho.
