It was good enough I guess, both of their hair styles were RIGHT tho. (even though I thought mohawks were out) But Musiq can rock what ever he likes as long as his music stays soothing to the ears.

I really liked that! And I’ve noticed Mary’s vocal ability in this song, I thought her voice was regular at best but she stepped it up for this song, or maybe this was my first time paying attention. Beautiful. Now this is a classic Musiq Soulchild masterpiece! All that mainstream pop stuff he can leave to the newbies but this right here is REAL R&B. Keep it up Musiq I already know you penned this one lol.

People comment on Musiq’s music sounds the same but what’s wrong with that? I love his style and think it’s signature, when he was trying to crossover with that pop crap yall tore him a new one. Why not just let that man do what he’s good at. I say if it ain’t broke don’t fix it… It works. And it’s REAL R&B you want someone to switch it up and yell at the top of their lungs, get ghetto and crunk with it, then you’ve got a TON of singers out there doing that. But as for Musiq’s formula… it works. There is a signature Musiq sound just like there’s a signature Sade, Luther, and Aliyah(though imitated), and Jill Scott sound. This right here is GROWN FOLK musiq. Leave that bubble gum, ” put ya hands in the air” crap for the younguns.

Im all for atristic growth but when I heard On my radio but Musiq, I officially gave up on him. In the making of the video he was talking rubbish, going on about how he loves commercial hip-hop/pop blah blah blah. That song was a mess, he clearly just wanted to go where the money is at and has no passion for making good music.

Seen Music perform last night (10-20-08) at The Birchmere in VA. He performed this song also. He mentioned DC was playing it on the radio, although I haven’t heard it yet (I don’t listen to much radio). Anyway, after he sung the song, I immediately liked it.

Big ups to Ashley Nicole, background singer who sung Mary’s part. Her vocals were on point. And Big ups to James Madison, I love the name and your voice is truly beautiful. It was a good show, first time seeing Music live. He has a much deeper voice than he portrays in songs. Oh yeah, love the alto (he reminds me of Prince).

And to my date, it was the last time and if u leave, it won’t make a difference.

Mary Go Round is a classic in my eyes. So funny a girlfriend of mine could not say the part he spelled out, we spent a whole road trip (Cali to TX) with her trying to get it!!!!! Fun Times
