POLITICS/VIDEO: MICHELLE OBAMA ON LARRY KING
Wednesday, October 8, 2008

Michelle Obama, wife of Democratic presidential candidate U.S. Sen. Barack Obama, appeared on the Larry King Live Wednesday night and spoke on the much-publicized comment made toward her husband in the debate earlier this week.
When asked whether McCain’s reference to Obama as “that one” was offensive, Michelle Obama simply said “No,” adding that the issue has nothing to do with what’s affecting average Americans hurting from the economic downturn.
Keep reading to view video of the interview..
“They don’t care about the back and forth between the candidates. … They want real answers about how we’re going to fix this economy and get the health care benefits on track so, you know, this is part of politics,
I think there are two conversations that have been going on throughout this whole election. There’s the conversation that’s been happening with the pundits … and then there’s the conversation that’s been happening on the ground,” she said.
She also spoke on the Ayers controvesy. See more video at CNN…

You don’t see Cindy McCain because she’s a freakin airhead who needs to stay far far way from the podium. Have you watched the news today, if not do a google search because she made some comments today about how Obama didn’t vote for the troops blah blah blah but her husband who was standing behind her voted no on the same doggone bill, unreal but she was trying to act like she was so shocked. If you see her lil speech than you’ll know why they’ve been keeping her in the background.
She needs to stay behind the scenes and keep taking those pain pills because she’s annoying.

I absolutely Love Michelle!! She is so classy! I think they are handling this underhanded name calling so well. It only makes them look good. McCain has so much animosity towards Obama you could cut it with a knife. It hurts him that he is being “outrun” by a man of color. I believe Mccain’s biggest mistake was picking Palin. She has brought his numbers down.. In my opinion… Not initially, but as she began to do interviews and give speech’s and debating… I think people became unsure of her.
McCain needs to go back to the drawing board.. this *ish he TRYIN’ to pull ain’t workin.

Im voting for someone that will hear my voice from all the way from Washington to Ohio. I cant even begin to think that someone associated with Cindi Mc Cain who doesn’t even want to connect with people that are 4 feet away from them is gonna hear my voice.

@goo obama.
The whole willaim ayers planned an attack on the pentagon some odd years ago, but never imprisoned or trialed for the accusations upon him.Couple years later, he became a professor at one of the universities in Chicago where he and obama held positions on one of the committee’s.The bottom is, the mcain-palin want to mark obama as a “terrorist” because he and ayers were on the same board and were to gather on an educational matter for the city of Chicago. Ayers attempted to bomb the pentagon and his terrorist acts when barack obama was only 8 years old, so the mcain-palin gang try to tie obama and ayers as apart of the 2008 terrorist act, which is just appalling and crude, very distasteful at such a crucial time when millions are concerned about their homes, families, and jobs to try to shift the campaign to irrelevant claims of vicious acts towards obama when he was eight years old.
secondly, to the person who commented about beyonce 500 comments, to michelle obama’s 14 or so… this is not a direct competition or the battle of the comment, although it said that most of our peers are more interested in what beyonce is wearing or her next song, than the current issues of the world.
Entertianment is the evil, which our brain is easily attracted to .Certain headlines are appeasing to others.
With that said… I hope everybody registered, and ready for November 4th. I will be praying and counting my blessings for Michelle and barack obama. If the past debates haven’t convinced on which candidate to choice for, you need to reach to an agreement, its simple choice the lesser of two evils. It is not my to tell who you to vote for, but it my duty as an US Citizen to encourage my peers to go out and vote. I am a young college student, who needs all the money that I can get to get an education, with obama’s plan to give 4,000 to each student that volunteers every other weekend for about two or three month I am down.Mcain I haven’t really heard say anything that is realistic or pertains to me .
Its time for a change and barack obama is that change.
-THE END

She always handles herself well, glad she glossed over the “that one” incident, rude as it was it’s not significant to either of their politics or the nation as a whole, as for Mcains wife, he and his team were at least smart enough to realise that she would’nt be a beneficial factor in his campaigns, so she just keeps quite. (most of the time).
She’s an excellent role model for young girls these days, glad to see a woman of class, composure, intelligence and humility getting some media attention.

why do some blacks vote republican? how can any black person stand behind a party that is against you? that doesn’t show support for your existence/strugges? it baffles me? I’ve believe someone posted on another blog that i visit that the republcian party freed the slaves and most blacks were republician during those times, but what happened to make many blacks shift to the democractic party which was painted as anti-black (now it’s pro-black?)

@8 In the sixities they had a group I think it was called the underground weathermen or something like that, and they bombed some buildings in America. They had plans to bomb they Pentagon and some other top security buildings when they got caught. Now mind you when this took place Barack Obama was 8 or 9 and didn’t even live in the country.
Then twenty plus years later Obama met him and they were on a board together in Chicago, founded by, a staunch consevative Republican. And he held a coffee meeting for Obama when he first got into politics like 15 years or so ago. Now he is a professor at one of the most prestigious colleges in the world and appparently a respectable citizens. But the McCain camp has no ideas and no plans for the future so they have to make a situation where there is no situation.
That is Bill Ayers summed up. So you know what you have to do on November 4, 2008.

BLACK, WHITE , RED, BROWN PURPLE AND YELLOW- we must change the direction this country is going for our children! IT IS UNFORTUNATE THAT PEOPLE WANT TO PLAY THE RACE CARD. WE AS BLACKS NEED OTHER BROTHERS AND SISTERS TO STAND WITH US! LET’S NOT GET IT TWISTED. BE SMART ON HOW WE SHOW ABOUT HOW WE SHOW OUR SUPPORT!

I love Michelle Obama! As for the comments about black people’s lacks of comments, I think that generally Americans are more concerned with celebrities than with elections. Certainly, this election has changed things, but overwhelming Americans (all Americans) tend to know and be more interested in who’s wearing what to where than politics. But I do resent the suggestion that somehow black folks are just lounging around reading only about celebrities. There’s a time and place for all things. Black people are registering to vote and becoming increasingly interested in politics and that’s a great thing. But have you stopped to think that the most politically minded black folks aren’t commenting on concreteloop, but rather are going to more political blogs to engage in deeper discussions. I’m just saying, let’s focus on the positive … that’s what Michelle Obama would do:)

You guys we have to truly “PRAY” for Obama and his family we can’t get confident.
McCain and Palin may not be mentioning him on the trail, but they have just released an Ayers ad, they want to keep the terrorist stuff in peoples mind.
Sara Palin says she is a Christian, her actions, speech, are all totally diabolically opposed to Christian concepts as outlined in the bible.
Why does not the Body of Christ call her out on this.
She reminds me of Jezebel in the bible who hated Elijah so much she single handily wanted to destroy him and McCain reminds me of Saul who so hated David with passsion that he sought to kill him.
I wonder who is counseling her spiritually.
She and MCain both hate Obama, the things she has said derived only form hate and she stirs up anger and hstility and murder at her meetings, because that is her spirit.
If anyone reading this knows how to pray, then we must do it.
I pray Obama’s character is what puts him over because integrity and character are big things with God he does not see or choose like man but he looks on the heart and Obama’s heart is right.
When the righteous rule the people rejoice.
They have so much class and dignity and respect for others, I pray the Lord blesses him and his family for all their hard word and how they have carried themselves during this time of persecution.
VOTE for “THAT ONE” me and my entire family is.
They are a wonderful testimony for our society.

I am really getting tired of these bullshit ass interviews she is doing. I understand that Barack & Michelle are not allowed to get angry because they will SCARE middle America but say something. These Klan members are calling your husband a terrorist and you say nothing. You don’t point out that Sara Palins husband up till 2002 was part of an Alaska moment to get excluded from the U.S. The leader of that organization hates America & the gov’t. Sarah isn’t just paling around around with people who hate America, she slepts with them. The reason the Klan, opps I mean Republicans are hitting so hard is cause they no the Obamas are going to do the same weak ass shit Gore and Kerry did…….try to run out the clock for the next 4 weeks the way the Texans tried to run out the clock on Peyton Manning & the Colts this past Sunday. The Colts came back to win after being down by 17pts in the 4th quarter. If the Klan no nothing else, they no how to WIN!
I hate to go there but I bet Hillary Clinton would have hit Cindy (the JUMPOFF), the old man, the Palins and their entire white trash family with a ton of bricks that would have left them with Vertigo for the rest of their lives.

I missed it! Maybe I can see on youtube or something…but based on the other appearances/interviews I have seen her, she is a beautiful, intelligent, and sophisticated woman. I would love to see her as our First Lady, she has that relatable factor that no one else and I mean No One Else, (like they like to claim Palin has). Yes McCain’s wife has devoted her services to underdeveloped countries, but I’m not getting that relatable factor, though I cannot write her off because of her priviliged background, I just do not feel that she can relate to All women. No she hasn’t been as vocal as Michelle Obama, but she has definitely been behind McCain, she’s everywhere he is, and that’s probably because Cindy McCain knows how she got John…she better watch out!

LMAO @ all the prayer warriors.
If “God” cared so much about America, why did he stand on the sidelines and watch the blood of millions of blacks drench the American soil?
Where was he when the Indians were getting annihilated by a bunch of duplicitous white cowards?
Why does he watch the American “force for good” go kill innocent mothers and children of other civilizations in the name of “freedom”
Overly religious blacks just crack me up. The people that sold you that crock shit use it to exploit you till today. Personally, if I could raise dough quick like Barack, I would be running a hedge fund. This country is going down either way, and the last thing it deserves is a black man trying to save it.

———@Zulu
———I have no idea what your mental or spiritual leanings are, but you definitely hit
———the nail on the head regarding the “prayer warriors”, lol. What always makes
———me laugh is the total, absolute lack of understanding these so-called “black
———devout Christians” have regarding the Most High and his Word. The Most High
———does not hear the prayer of a person that wants to save a wicked kingdom.
———When you want to save a wicked kingdom, it’s so that you can continue to be
———wicked within it. Look at the story of Abraham and Sodom and Gomorrah. He
———begged the Most High to save those five cities and the Most High did not
———because it was not worth saving. The same thing with America. Not only, as
———you touched on, has this country totally eviscerated the Native American, it
———has mentally and spiritually destroyed the black and hispanic man and woman,
———particularly the black man. Many black people give the Most High a bad name
———and his Word a bad name because of their overwhelming simplicity and
———outright stupidity in regard to what they think they believe. The fact of the
———matter is that America is heaven to these broken down negroes, and they
———cannot envision a land or kingdom without the white man and women leading
———them around by a leash, smh.

Judah — For the sake of all humanity, please refrain from posting ever again.
EVERY TIME you post, it’s some rant about how someone else isn’t a Christian - and I suppose you think you are with your many judgmental and profanity ridden posts.
How did you gain the notion that someone has a “lack of understanding” a.k.a is ignorant from their one post? You disgust me and are a disgrace to African-Americans.
I mean, you have the NERVE to tell someone that God doesn’t hear a prayer? What Bible do you read?
You like to give the impression that you want black people to “do better” or move forward, but in actuality you are trying to place us in a cage. The shade is that you are the only one in it.

I will say this, I have been actually working so I havent placed my comment-SASHA…but I feel you, I hope these Beyoncites go out and vote as well as buy her
damn CD. OKay with that said, I thought McCain’s comment was more of an
attempt to be an ass then a racist, like Obama knows nothing because he has less
years (not experience because as a young person I know I could run my office better then these old dopes who have 20 years on me) in the Senate addressing these issues. McCain is going right back were his butt belongs in the Senate, that’s all I kept thinking. And I have a solution of Soc Sec, like McCain I think its easy to solve, I just need two dollars from everyone in the US for the next ten years and an off shore account. Did anyone hear that mess. I actually studied the Social Security issue while in grad school it is not an easy system to overhaul nor is their congressional support for any of the current ideas, so I do not know who he thinks he is fooling but its not me or anyone else with half a brain.
OBAMA 08 or BUST (keep them pennies and go back to stacking chips under your mattress because its going to be a bumpy ride if those idiots (M-cat and P-dog) get into the White House)

She is a positive role model for all young women. I am so very proud of her as well as Mr. Obama. I have always been proud to be black, but they just make me take my pride to a whole different level. Please get out and vote, our children need a chance. I love all of you and stay positive.

@59 This is not a hip-hop beef her husband is trying to be the leader of the free world. What would you have her say about ignorance. She did just what she was suppose to do. It pisses people of more when you don’t comment on their foolishness. Learn that in life and you would have figured out the way to survive and succeed. You think being where they are in life that is the first time they have experienced foolishness like this. They have been calling him that now for almost 2 years. And he is a head in the polls now by 11 points. So they are handling just the way they are suppose to.
