I heard this album for the first time today, and i gotta say it’s not good at all ” i’m very dissapointed!” No offense to anyone here, but I couldn’t even make it through all the songs, it was just that bad. Yeah, she did@ Monnie. She is really growing as a vocalist IMO. I feel that she is actually three years away from the beginning of the her vocal prime as her voice becomes fuller and more mature. It is not there yet, but it is great all the same and not to mention, the things she can do with her voice is crazy.

I personally think that this is beyonce’s best album simply because from her previous albums, there were songs which i definately could do without i.e.listened to them once and was done with them.
I really like both sides but the ballad heavy side I Am….is perhaps the better side. I liked the way she goes all soft on Ave Maria, to being the fierceness that she is in Diva.

OK so I just love all music in general….there were a couple of stand out songs and I do like Disappear, but honestly Beyonce could have done better. I don’t think this cd is up to her full potential. With money being tight, a cd these days have to be just absolutely great…but I just don’t really like a lot of the songs on here. To me DIL was her best cd, and with my favorite artists I can truly say that they always make great albums, but each one gets better. I can’t say that with Bey cuz it’s like she really doesn’t grow much as an artist…. But on the songs she sounded great I mean she’s a great singer so that’s definitely not the case.

I was expecting Beyonce to take soul/R&B into a new direction….or at least deeper into the one she established already. Or I would have hoped that she could go there. Honestly, Britney’s album is better. I know they are in two different lanes, but being that Beyonce decided to go pop on this album Britney has is on lock.
On Britney’s new album there are 6 songs that I like and on Beyonce’s there are two.
Check out Mannequin, Circus, Leather & Lace, Blur, Amnesia, Phonography, and Womanizer is catchy. I know Brit is crazy but she gives a great performance, and its interesting to see what her and Beyonce’s #’s will be because Beyonce has never gone up against Britney as a solo artist. People forget that Britney sold more records than Beyonce and DC by herself and white people are really waiting for her. Britney’s Blackout album sold as much as BDay without any promotion.

I am a big Beyonce’ fan and I am very open to all music but for some reason, I am not feeling this one at all. Of course I love “Single Ladies” and I recently discovered my love for “Radio” but that’s about it. I think she shows great range with the songs on the album but I just cannot get into it. I am not a fan of the ballads and the pop songs are just quite elementary. “Diva” and “Video Phone” have great beats but the lyrics are just plain dumb, there is no way around it. I challenge true fans to really examine the album and listen objectively and see if you will still sing her praises. As I said before I love her and I believe she is a vocal powerhouse, but I think her lyrics are quite, how do I say it…simple.

i really think nothing is wrong with this music or the album. I believe that just because its beyonce she should stick o r&b. She flipped the script and did it well. The album is good. and her best work work to date.

DIL was good but her vocal were not as good and most of the songs were based on sex.
B’day was very angry and catered mostly to the females but was good. some of the lyrics and subject matter was not substantial but the instrumentation on the album was crazy.
