We all know that when it comes to making a radio hit, T-Pain seems to be the go-to guy these days. So it only makes sense that his third release “Thr33 Ringz” is a clever take on how he’s running the game.
Although it’s hard to remember radio without auto-tone T-Pain deserves honorable mention for bringing it back to life—in a major way. “Thr33 Ringz” showcases T-Pain’s silly and somewhat versatile nature. Yes there are the obligatory club hits and dance tracks but he also tries his hand at rapping. He was after all a “rappa ternt sanga” when he first hit the scene so trading in voice distortion for raw rap lyricism seems natural.
The funky and fun “Freeze” is made more youthful with the addition of Chris Brown while “Chopped and Screwed” featuring Ludacris is suitable for the grown and sexy. Other fun tracks are “Blowing Up” featuring Ciara. Showing his playful flirty side T-Pain coos over the medium-toned dance beat: “You’re like techno-music. Electronic. Baby let’s do this.”
Kanye’s assistance on “Therapy” is so hilarious it’s downright perfect. Although we will have to forgive him for mentioning a couple of those other blog sites in his flow. Another interesting feature choice is “Reality Show” with Musiq Soulchild, Raheem Devaughn, and Jay Lyriq. T-Pain and neyo soul may sound like a crazy idea but it actually works.
Not surprisingly the guestlist on “Thr33 Ringz” is more than a little packed. It’s practically over flowing. It is a circus after all and when’s the last time you heard of a circus with just one star?

This cd is nothing like i expected. Pain could have came harder, no song on this cd is banging. I can’t see myself riding 2 this, but I can hear this is somebody’s elevator. This is his worst to date, overrated.

I AM SO FUCKING TIRED OF T-PAIN ACTING LIKE A JACK ASS. HIS MUSIC IS HOT (even though it all sounds the same), BUT THE RINGLEADER THING IS OUT OF CONTROL. REMEMBER AT THE BET AWARDS WHEN HE WALKED LIKE A DAM ROBOT TO THE STAGE?! CREATIVE….. check. ORIGINAL…….. check. MADE HIM LOOK LIKE A JACKASS…….. double_check!
Is Latifah Brian’s pseudonym? Who’s this person? As for T-Pain, he can sing…many says he can’t outside of autotune but it isn’t so. His singing is on par with an old school R&B singer’s. It isn’t bad by any stretch of the imagination. As for “Three Rings,” I think he gives himself wayyy too much credit – thinking of five million ways to say “sex” and “drunk” is still saying “sex” and “drunk”
I wish T-Pain wouldn’t rap.
I like T-Pain he isn’t boring and neither is his voice yes he can sing without autotone! The Ringleader is all his and good for him for writing and delivering good music both himself and other artists.
The circus act show is just that extra thing for everyone to talk about. He did mention once his tour is over with Purple Syrup drinking dude he will close the show and sell the hats on Ebay donating the money to charity.

Is there any album that this site review that you actually don’t like? You shmucks love just about every album that you post for review. No critical remarks, you guys are serious BALL WASHERS. It’s like you are afraid to give a critical review, especially when that artist is redundant, ignorant and overexposed. Your music reviews are very humorous and almost as funny as the comics section in the newspapers. By the way, being critical does not make you a “hater” it just means that you are fair and balanced.

He’s been putting out summer spring and fall bangers ever since we first heard his “Stripper” song– which EVERYBODY HATED– but has been going strong and improving nontheless
So what if he wants a “Circus Theme”– its HIS music… and its good to see a change of pace in the R&B today. Everybody that comes out and sings aint gotta do that doo-wop and Brian McKnight- crooning all the time… I swear we get on rappers for demeaning black women and embarassing black people all the time yet when you have R&B singers like T-Pain who break away from that mold WE have the nerve to complain about it? I appreciate this black man… Puttin’ our sisters on the pedestals like they ought to be , and holding the Black community in noble esteem like we ought to be.
Many of you are close-minded old folks looking for ready-made D’Angelos and Maxwells instead of using your musical ear and actually taking the effort to appreciate different music and different artists.
