Sen. Barack Obama speaks to over 125,000 crowd members in Chicago’s Grant Park, minutes after being elected the 44th president of the United States, becoming the nation’s first black person to be elected president.

Obama, the son of a black father from Kenya and a white mother from Kansas and a first-term Democratic senator from Illinois, defeated second-time Republican presidential candidate Sen. John McCain. The election proved even more victorious for Democrats, which now have the majority in both the House and Senate, the first time since 1994.

As you all know from yesterday I was not and am not an Obama supporter but in a way I’m glad he won. In another way, I’m highly disappointed…but I won’t get into that.

History has been made, I’m glad I’m alive to see something great like this happen. But I just wanted to tell you Obama supporters not to set the bar so high for him. What I’m noticing is that some people act as though he is God and will in fact change us back 100%. He probably could. BUT he may not. You don’t want to feel let down or disappointed so don’t think that he will change this world back into flying unicorns where everything is all perfect.

You all need to hope and pray that he doesn’t mess us up even more. Just think about it, 1. Everyone will feel very stupid. 2. The white people will never elect a black person again.

As a black Christian woman, I have never been more ashamed and dissappointed at Christians and black people who are “supposed” Christians. How could someone dare vote for a man with such a lack of integrity and morals as Barack Obama. To choose race over our duty to vote/do the will of God Almighty. I came into work this morning and a McCAIN supporter started mouthing off how obama wasn’t gonna make a change. I told her that he already has, by becoming the first african american president, and this is only the beginning.

Mccain supporters please get off obama’s nuts, at this point everyone should be thinking positive things for the future of this country. But i guess some people have that much hatred and ignorance in their hearts.

Honestly i voted for obama because i want to be able to afford for myself and my future children (and grandchildren) to get a good education, and to not live in poverty. Most importantly affordable medical care.

McCains $5000 credit couldn’t even pay my surgeon’s bill. (of course this is not including the cost of the surgery).

The reason I say he has a lack of morals and integrity is because from my BIBLICAL worldview (not black worldview or American worldview) he believes/stands for everything that God and His infallible Word declares to be unrighteous and unholy;
abortion, gay marriage, sex before marriage. Not to mention redistribution of wealth - the Bibles says if a man does not work, he should not eat. We are to help less fortunate people, but not take from others who work and hard and give to many who just do not want to do better. I am in SERIOUS financial difficulty myself, but as a Christian I trust in the Lord. Not Barack Obama. The Word of God says, “TO SEEK YE FIRST THE KINGDOM OF GOD AND HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS AND THEN ALL THESE THINGS SHALL BE ADDED UNTO YOU.” If we voted the will of God, God will provide for those who put His will before their own. Barack Obama does align his values with God. And I sincerely don’t understand how anyone who calls themselves men and women of Jesus Christ could put race and economy before the word and will of God. John McCain was not my ideal candidate either, I had issues with some of his standards too, but he was/is alot closer then Obama.

Why don’t I know you?! I’ve been trying to tell people this yesterday on this site. I am also a Christian woman, and Obama claims himself as one too, yet a lot of his policies are directly against Christianity. Now I know Christians aren’t perfect and some are less strict on some views; however, it seems as though Obama just completely threw the Christian ways out the window. I’m not happy at all about that. Like I said, it is great that Obama won but it is also very bad. The fact that he stands for abortion & gay marriage astounds me.

This is what he says:

“For example, many gay couples can’t visit each other in he hospital. When I sit down amd read scripture I think ‘How would Jesus feel about somebody not being able to visit somebody they love when they’re sick?’ I conclude that that is something that is important”

WHAT?? Obviously, Obama, you haven’t READ the Holy Bible to know that God specifically says that homosexual’s will basically rot in hell and they are among the ‘wicked’. And not of God.

Thank God for a man like Barack Obama. If it wasn’t for him, we would still have a white president. For me being 17 years old and wanting to be successful, I KNOW I can make it now. One thing that really impressed me with President Obama is that he did not makeit a color issue. He made this campaign an American Issue. I gave my testimony of CL not to long ago. President Obama has a healing spirit that is needed in this land. He ran a godly campaign, and not one filled with hate and lies. Like I said, how can that be godly, and your prayer is for people to become so disenfranchized until they do not want to vote. Or, you pray that racism kicks in and people decide to not vote. The Lord is God, and I give Him all the praise. Prayer warriors, we must continue to life him up in prayer and pray for wisdom.

No matter who’s in office, they are completely incapable of eradicating all of the problems plaguing America. For instance, if there was a policy to get rid of racism forever in America, trust me, we would be in much better shape, people would get fair chances, things we be better. But racism is an ugly persistent boil that has plagued America from it’s inception. I admire the fact that Obama realizes he has a big challenge ahead of him. He did not seem to brag about bringing about change on his own. He said he needed help. I’ve never heard a politician speak this eloquent. This election was historical is so many ways.

Wow. I do think it is right to spread the wealth around but Obama is doing it all wrong. He will tax businesses that make over 250,000 a year. WHAT?? 250,000 is a piece of cake! Not to sound like a rich snob but 250,000 isn’t a lot of money if you’re a running businesses that has more than 2 employees. So that “spread the wealth around” plan is going to fail so badly I can see it already. Everyone will start losing jobs because the company can’t afford to get taxed more plus pay the employees.

I personally don’t think it is fair for him to take money from people who worked their butt off for it and hand it to the next person who decides not to do anything with their lives. I know some people are just not as fortunate as others but from Obama’s perspective, the rich, aren’t really rich at all. He needs to focus on the huge money makers who you could take 2 million off their account and they wouldn’t notice. He has people regretting they went to..idk..into dentistry school for over 5 years to basically be making the same money they would have if they had done something cheap for 2 years.

There are more whites in the US than Blacks. Obama got all the black votes. Southern states are the hardest for democrates to win period, wheither black or white. Southern states are slave states. That’s where slavery was started. Their more conservative states which lean toward Republicans, Republican politics. Obama actually swing Florida which was a huge accomplishment considering the last time democrates won the state was once for the Jimmy Carter Administration and the Bill Clinton Administration in the whole history of Presidental elections.
