Best performances: Neyo, Pink and the one and only Alicia Keys. Rhianna was sooooo boring, something was lacking. Beyonce was great, hard to dance that hard and sing at the same time, but it just seems like Ive seen it before and… Alicia always brings it. I remember seeing her in concert and she was dancing, playing the piano, singing. Alicia is a true artist, I’m never dissapointed with her performances. Oh ya Kanye was good too. I think the reason the show was so lackluster to me is because the stiffs in charge failed to realize that ‘08 was the year that everything in every genre was better in the underground/indie scene and they failed to dig it up. Instead, we get a show filled with a bunch of bare minimum safe bets. Actually, if we were to nit pick, there was something wrong with almost every performance (Pink was the only exception to me) with either sound, voice talent, repetition, whatever, but lets not get into that

I found the AMA’s to be a bit of a snooze this year. I kept flipping channels during the show b/c it wasn’t interesting enuf to hold my full attention. I did catch all of Beyonce’s and Pink’s performances, which were both very good. The best performances of the night, IMO. As for AMA fashions, I loved Alicia Keys’ dress, and suprisingly, Pink’s. Rhianna usually comes correct in the fashion department, but she didn’t bring her “A”-game last night at the AMA’s. I guess Ri-Ri was going for an edgy look, but the shape of her dress was too confusing, and those gloves really didn’t help matters. As for the rest, it was nice to see Mariah (somewhat) covered-up for a change. Her dress still showed off her figure, without making her look like a wannabe teeny-bopper. She and Nick make a handsome (if odd) couple. Nobody else made much of an impression one way or the other.

You know your the best when everyone compares you to someone else. Everyone compares Beyonce to someone. Ahahahha Beyonce to Rhianna, beyonce to alicia, beyonce to somebody.
