Just goes to show you that you can get a room full of black women together and see ’bout as many different shades, styles, and personalities as there are women in the room. Every single one of them is beautiful in her own way. I ain’t mad at ‘em. I’m always in favor of any event that celebrates us instead of tearing us down like we’re less than others.

Some of yall were being a lil rough on Faye! She is in the middle of her book tour. She did this set on a last minute request. She did not have time to prepare, she basically went it cold. She does not look her best in the photo but she rocked her set. She is a musical professional. I think the fact that she is not actively on the scene nor does she have an album in circulation right now says alot about her talent that they came to her and asked her to perform.
I love the fact that they are doing this whole award ceremony. I wish this was something that was televised. It would have been nice to see such performers in action. Marsha and Bilal are also vague from the scene as well….. WE NEED TO HEAR FROM YOU GUYS!!! All those that performed are missed!!!!
