You cant be serious with that comment. I m 32 years old, mother of 2 children that I educate myself on the history of black people. Of course OBAMA & Martin Luther King will end up in the same categories/comparisons in many instances (OBAMA mentions MLK in his speech as well the day he won the ELECTION (duh?!?)! were you listening to the man)? This is why Black History classes/courses needs to be in schools, because these young men & women out here dont even know that OBAMA is a huge part of the “DREAM” MLK spoke about in his last speech (I HAVE A DREAM speech). 45 years later, Martin L. King predicted November 4th 2008 in his final speech 45 years ago, do you understand this? Martin was assassinated because he drew the same huge crowds like OBAMA so they (white man) killed him because they knew:
1.He had POWER (alot of it)
2.He was college educated/very smart
3. He was capable back then of becoming President
Your HISTORY accounts for your future. They have said OBAMA has a little of Martin, Macolm, Lincoln, Reagan, & even JFK in him. He should, you have to know he has studied each of these individuals in his life time (OBAMA) and he has learned a great deal from each one (were you even listening to his speeches & debates? he mentions these names & even quotes these people). If it wasn’t for slavery, and all of the protesting in later decades & years and all the marching for equal rights for blacks to vote & sit on the bus where they please…OBAMA wouldn’t be President today. Because of people like MLK is why he is our President today…people “BLACK PEOPLE DIED” for us to have many of the rights we have today. Those people “back then” paved the way for us TODAY!

The Ciroc 1 Million Dollar offer
There’s only one day a year when the world collectively parties together, New Year’s Eve and the Time Square ball drop in NY is one of the premier locations for bringing inn the new year! For countless years brands like Korbel Champagnes and Waterford crystal have positioned themselves as the official Champagne and New Year ball crystal of the Times Square celebration all in hopes of capitalizing on the unique marketing opportunity. Although Champagne is the common celebratory libation of choice to ring in the New Year, Diddy and Ciroc are trying to change the tradition to include their “ultra-premium vodka.”
The constantly evolving marketing machine that is Diddy is offering the Mayor and City of New York $1 Million Dollars to change the New Years Eve Ball to Ciroc Blue. Although Diddy admits the proposal is a publicity stunt to help brand Ciroc to the New Years Party crowd, he does say that he just wants the color to be changed, no logo. I guess given these hard economic times people might just feel the need to sip on something a bit more stiff than the traditional bubbly. Diddy doesn’t pose a specific use for the contribution but suggest using it to build parks, improve schools or for foreclosure “bailouts.” As yet there hasn’t been a response from the Mayors office.
In addition Diddy goes on to announce that the Ciroc street team in conjunction with the New York City Taxi & Limousine Commission will be handing out $15 taxi cab vouchers to New York party goers to make sure they get home safe.
