All the fashion is so different..love that it was so diverse. And I must say that Beyonce’s stage look is hot (if a bit too little or is it just me?) however I’m stunned at just how much she basically takes other people’s stuff and nobody calls her on it. This whole silhouette (avant-garde and tons of structure…especially in the shoulders) is so Lady GaGa. She’s even doing the glove! Are you kidding me? The dress on the red carpet has a crazy effect that I love but I don’t like the shoes with it. Because that who should sing at this event, and the fact that she is a far superior singer than Beyonce. Beyonce is a clear Pop artist, witih no sense of direction. I mean look at her past two albums til now. There is no clear idenity of who she is in her music and where she stands in regards to being an icon of the industry. For example: Aretha Franklin is known for soulful/forceful lyrics, independance of being a black woman, etc. Mary J, has her own style, at first she started out drama queen, but overall, she has been making music that expresses her struggle and identity to women as a whole and now is making positive music. A Keys, a musical genus, icon and empowerment to postitive music and lyrics. Mariah and Beyonce are in the same catergory as far as icon status. They sing over good pop lyrics and singing over hooks of Hip-Hop and honestly that is all that they have to offer.

I did new artist like Estelle, Jasmine Sulilvan and other new artist, because they have poise and musical direction and talent. They don’t have to pretend to have alter ego’s (Mariah/Beyonce) by running around stage half naked, jumping all around to make a musical influence.

I am sorry Beyonce, but you honestly needed to sit down for a min and think about the musical legacy you would had been known for. I have to even give big ups to Solange, because at least she has tried to be different and show a different in striving to find musical direction, and I applaud her in her efforts. I cannot say the same for Beyonce. She is played out and honestly needs to fall back, produce and or focus on better music direction if she wishes to leave her mark on the industry. And for the stans, I am not hating on Beyonce at all……she started out with good joints like Me, Myself and I and her first album was classic. But to Cici’s credit, she did headline her pre-album tour back in ‘06. She went to 16 different cities and sold out half of them, and had great reviews too. She’s sold close to 8 million(with just TWO albums),with a grammy and tons of other awards @ the age of 23. That’s a big accomplishment if you ask me. Can’t wait for “The Fantasy Tour” worldwide. @ Katz, you’re entitled to your opinion and all but I don’t agree with your ciara comparison to aaliyah maybe janet jackson. aaliyah wasn’t a dancer who could barely sing she was classically trained in music and vocal lessons and she could hit notes that ciara cannot hit if she tried.
