Smokey eyes are a trend in the sense that they come and go with each new fashion season. They may be in for Fall/Winter ’08 and out for Summer/Spring ’09. Last Fall, the smokey eye was out! It was all about having a well defined cat eye. Also, the type of smokey eye and the colors that are used to create it change all the time. Now, it seems that the bold, black smokey eye is back whereas 3 months ago it was all about using “color” to create your smokey eye.

Smokey eyes have been around forever. Aaliyah nor anyone else was the first to rock it.
I used to LOVE Beyonce’s heavy eyeliner which was her signature look. It really brought out the color of her eyes. She has beautiful eyes. She changes up her look and make up with each album, but I’d like to see her bring that back and the L’Oreal colors she helped make fabulous. She looks pretty wearing the simplistic looks she’s rocking now too.
