Guess who was spotted shopping in California on Monday with her good friend. Hint: Both ladies have been acting for awhile..
It was Malinda Williams and Terri Vaughn. Both ladies hit up some shops on Robertson Blvd earlier this week.
Malinda, best known for her role as Bird in the TV series Soul Food and countless other features, recently got married DJ D-Nice back in August. Williams currently has a upcoming feature coming out next year.
As for Terri Vaughn (Steve Harvey Show, Soul Food, etc..) had a string of features come out recently and she gave birth to her 2nd child back in April.

I beg to differ….the industry does have roles for black women, however, these roles are going to singers who absolutely cannot act! As bad a shape as the industry is in for black actresses, that’s why we have to protect some of these artists, THE ONES WHO CAN’T ACT, getting prime roles that only seasoned actresses should have…..
These actresses aren’t even being given a chance at the roles that work hard to get all their lives. They just giving it singers who so many black people worship….it’s ridiculous.
All those movies that Malinda did, from the time she was a teen, was to work up to a meaty role, perhaps playing a real life person….but instead she never got the chance, it was just given to a well know singer….over and over again…that’s not fair

Terri was in FRIDAY. She was Craig’s (Ice Cube) Sister’s friend, China. She came to braid Regina Kings hair. Friday was also Meagan Good’s first role.
Melinda has been in the business for a minute. In High School High, she was in her mid 20′s. She starred on an HBO mini series Laurals Ave. Remember Gary Dourdan was tryna push up on her and she was a minor. You youngins won’t remember this…lol

They both do look nice and refreshed and defintley lovin the short natural hair look on them. They were both in Tyler Perry’s Daddy’s Little Girls….I love that movie even though Terri’s character was hatin on sexy ass Idris Elba’s character Monty I swear I wanted to punch the shit outta her in that role…..lol
And Terri did a few guest appearences in Soul Food where she played a lesbian n had to kiss Melinda’s character Bird…..I still think that was deep….I wouldn’t put it pass if they still made out every now and then married or not
