♫ HOT OR NOT: TONI BRAXTON – “MELT”
We reported just a little while ago that songstress Toni Braxton inked a new deal with Atlantic Records and will be working with Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins for her new album. The as yet untitled album is due out sometime around April 2009. Here is a track entitled “Melt.”
I don’t think this has been confirmed as a new single, just something to show that Toni is still around and working. I’m glad it sounds mature, because I was hoping that Toni wasn’t going to come back and jump on a trend that’s in music.

Well I like it. This sounds like the throwback Toni from the Secrets album. She’s one of my favorite vocalists, so she’s got support no matter what. Can’t wait to hear what to the new album when it drops.
My goodness I made a lot typos above lol, but anyway this song is hot. Her last album Libra wasn’t trendy it was actually ballad heavy, but a lot people probably thought the opposite because of “Please”.

Voice is in top shape as always, and I like the feel of the song, though the production is kinda lacking. Sort of repetitive, but that must be because it’s more of a demo than a final result. But we’ll see, if it hits radios. Welcome back Toni!

OMG…I am so happy to have new Toni Braxton music. She is my favorite artist…no drama, no rehab, which is so rare, but also probably the reason she flies under the radar. I love “Melt” and can’t wait to hear the rest. Hope Diane Warren gets to work on this project as well.
