We reported just a little while ago that songstress Toni Braxton inked a new deal with Atlantic Records and will be working with Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins for her new album. The as yet untitled album is due out sometime around April 2009. Here is a track entitled “Melt.”
I don’t think this has been confirmed as a new single, just something to show that Toni is still around and working. I’m glad it sounds mature, because I was hoping that Toni wasn’t going to come back and jump on a trend that’s in music.
I love this song more and more with each listen. Just wanted to say that. And perhaps Toni should name herself Sasha Fierce so people can respond to this more, because this is good stuff from Toni.

This song sounds nice. Love it! Loves me some Toni Braxton, She is so my favorite singer; But really aside from the fact that she is my favorite singer, and that the song is talking about my life it is really beautiful.

let me say that tonight i had a party and i’m one of the biggest toni fans and someone told me she had a song out and they said it sucked. let me say that toni’s song is hott. she is everything. it’s is 5:11 am and i stayed up to listen to it. my girl is back and i want all of us to take her back to the top. so she can reign as the queen of R&B
…and if i hear one more person say toni sounds like a man there is going to be a full out fight. her voice is so unique. she is a contralto (vocal range somewhere between a tenor and a mezzo-soprano) which is deepest female singing voice but would be considered to be a males falsetto.
so if you’re going to come for someone come correct people. gosh

toni sounds great but i hope this won.t be a indication of what the whole album will sound like. She still gotta bring that traditional rnb
