I’m a Beyonce and Ciara and Rihanna fan
The thing that differentiates all three of these artists and others is their voice.Why would you want everyone to hit the high note ,everyone doesnt want the same singer to be the best singer or make that bird chirping sound.It will be generic and boring the same thing over and over.Its not about the amazing voice,theirs loads of them but it better having someone with the X factor.
Meaning that someone wgho has a Unique voice and your like wow,Wow,Wow i havent heard a voice like that before.It sounds Folksy,soul ohhh. very diffferent and unique.that what it is not about being to sannnnnnnnnngggg or song singing is within and havent a unique voice make you stand out from the crowd and not be put into a box.

Like BC Jeans, I like the original Smash Into You by this Jon person. It’s sounds really good.

The only song that stuck out for me was Halo. I don’t see any strong songs that will put this cd over the top like Irreplaceable did for B’Day.

DIL was her best album IMO.

As for her putting it on her MySpace page, so what. Her loyal fans will buy it to support her. The rest of us will kick rocks so to speak because we don’t like it. I thought I would beat the stans/fans in saying that……..LOL.

Like some of you have stated, there is no growth. She’s 27, married and seen the world a dozen times. You’d think she’d get some material about pain and suffering from the children in Africa, not having a normal childhood because she was in DC, being lonely in a crowded room of people who all want something from her, her wedding day, homelessness, something.

She sings about the same crap, clubs, being single, shaking her ass…………whatever. I’m so over it.

I think it’s really funny how some of these people are saying that the album is garbage YET they are downloading it from limewire or wherever else u idiots pirate your music.You know you will be listening to it religiously. I bet you were the followers and lames in high school and its evident in your postings. Anyway, this album goes HARD..she’s running and she’s not gonna smash into you..but KNOCK you on your ASS!!

bee went in with this album I’m surprised at how much I like the “Beyonce” side. I think that this is her best work to date. Her voice has grown so much; she sounds amazing on this new sh!t.

Beyonce will always be a tremendous artist, and usually does justice on her albums. I will admit that a good portion of the songs, both on “I am…” and “Sasha Fierce” will have to grow on me. The same thing happened with “B’Day” and after a month, I was hooked from start to finish. She may have to do that Anthology video collection (Which I believe she plans on doing) for this album again, but if it works wonders like it did for “B’Day”, can’t be mad at her! Work your magic ‘B!

I hear you; but Rihanna can not sing, yes she has a different style of voice but she cant carry it past the studio. I’ve tried to be bias with her on some things cause she has had great songs written, produced and the two things that has bought her this far are the ARRANGEMENT and BEAT of the song is what we have come to listen too.

But when you cant pull off simple stuff live and basically that’s what they have given her, Simple Stuff, that’s when the remarks come in about the quality of voice.

She sings out of her noise, in the Choir she would have either been put in the back row or not allowed in it.

But your statement is true, that’s why we have great singers like Fantasia, Macy Gray(why), Jill Scott, India Aria, Jennifer Hudson, back in the day Cindy Lauper, Madonna the above last two mentioned names their vocals are not great but they have (Madonna) had (Cindy) a stage presence about them. We cant even say that for Riri, Ciara yes.. But with Beyonce you are getting it all whether you like her are not she’s performing…

This is an amazing album from Beyonce!!!!

Her voice sounds incredible from start to finish. The two discs show versatility in her voice. For those saying she didn’t show growth or doesn’t have great lyrics have you listened to the entire songs on the Beyonce side, as well as some standout tracks on the Sasha Fierce side. Even the fun and upbeat ones don’t have your run of the mill concepts. To me Beyonce shows growth, and vocally she is at her BEST on this c.d. I will definitely be getting this album on the 18th.

Also NOTICE, how the people who claim not to like Beyonce or her album, are ALWAYS ON HER POST talking about how they don’t like her. So people listen for yourself and not these skeptics. No matter what product Beyonce released they still would say the same thing. To me this album is great. Just great, and even the negative people are talking about putting it on limewire. Either way you’re still listening to her and will know all her songs just like the fans. As I said don’t listen to some of these reviews because if you check EVERY Beyonce post they are in their being negative. Nothing new. I like Beyonce, absolutely love and still bump cuts from Dangerously in Love religiously. However, this cd is trash…she took a year off and came back with this. I understand she’s growing with her music and stuff. But the Beyonce side all of the song sound the same except for Halo. Ego and Sweet Dreams are the only other songs i like and the two singles out. I don’t know i feel like she’s doing too much trying to be out of the box, when it should just come naturally. Her lyrics are still very elementary, i think she wrote better on the first album. I don’t know im starting to think that people aren’t even being honest about her music, just cause it’s Beyonce everyone jumps on the bandwagon. I don’t think this is her best work. but i do like some of the songs on there, but the Beyonce side falls short to me.

Classic album extreme vocals, songs on Beyonce sounds similar a mesh between NO ONE/BLEEDING LOVE/ Irreplacable.
It has a European/In’tl feel what she wanted. Album will do well as Singles are doing well world wide.

Beyonce’s album is very different to DIL and BDAY, and I like that she has taken risks on this album..I like her Beyonce side sound more, very stunning notes and voice

i don’t think not writing your own songs takes away from your validity as a singer or performer. what did janet and michael write? not much but they put out several ridiculous albums and they’re both clearly talented. Beyonce’s never positioned her self to be an E Badu or Jill Scott so let’s not be surprised that she buys songs.

as far as growth i didn’t love DIL so when people reference that i don’t get it. clearly beyonce wants to tap into the white market. mariah’s last tour looked like a UN meeting. beyonce’s last tour looked like an HBCU homecomming. if she’ll have Rihanna like success in the purely pop world is yet to be determined but you die hard modern R&B fans probrably should find another artist to listen to.

B Day was a helluva lot better. This CD has too much going on style wise. I did like Diva as well as the two singles that are out now and Ego. I will probably download what I like and skip buying the full CD. The only CD I have heard recently that I loved throughout is J Hud’s.

You should’ve locked Rich Harrison up in a room again with Swizz Beats or whoever down the hallway. Save your concept album for when you really have something to say. Why do Ciara and Rhianna’s name always have to be brought up? They must be doing something right because it’s always some Beyonce fan that always has to down other female artist to big NONE of them is anything special. However, they are ALL doing their thing. Get over it! Rhianna is on top, releasing hit after hit; so she is doing something right. Ciara’s album being pushed back has nothing to do with Beyonce. It’s because her single isn’t picking. You fans give Beyonce too much credit. She is far from a genius. Copying what others are doing is not being unique. It’s quite obvious Rhianna’s success has influenced Beyonce’s change as a lot of her music and style is going in the same direction as Rhianna.

Before I leave the gig for the day I must say…it never ceases to AMAZE me how much of an uproar this woman causes. NEVER has there been an artist in our generation to throw people into a frenzy like this. Even if you deny her talent, you can’t deny that there is something about this chick. I think Beyonce needs to take some time off to discover who she is as an artist. It seems like she is just putting out whatever she can get her hands on just to remain relevant in this fickle industry. Granted, that strategy is working but her music is suffering because of that. The music she is putting out is not clasic and timeless. She wants to be an Icon yet she is not doing anything original. It’s like she is taking examples of whoever is hot at the moment and putting her twist on it. Not to bring up Rihanna again but she is trying so hard to be more eccentric and versatile than her competition. Why put out an album so soon? A forgettable album at that.

He didn’t write this for Beyonce. Tricky and the Dream wrote this for Jon. Jon dropped the song from the album and it was given to Beyonce. From what I read, she re-arranged some lyrics and got “writing credits” for it. The name of the song is ‘Smash Into You’ now. Besides that, now I’m really glad he performed this song at the show I went to back in July
