Beyonce covers the December/January issue of Seventeen magazine and was awarded their “Style Star Of The Year”. In the issue, the singer/actress talks about her personal style, dating Jay-Z since she 19, and how she hopes to obtain that Oscar in 10 years.

Beyonce is too old for Seventeen mag. And she looks identical to my baby sis on the cover in that pink. And I find it ghastly that she, who can barely act, expects an Oscar? #47 Of course Beyonce is going to be on the cover of the mags right now, she has a new album coming out, Rihanna doesn’t. There isn’t even an official single out for Rihanna..&& December is a Major month as far as album releases go, & it always is, (Beyonce) just as summer is a majot season for albums (Rihanna.)
Although Beyonce looks young, fresh, & 17 in those pics, something about it I don’t like. The cover of the magazine is pretty though.

As for Beyonce , well I have to admit she does look old and I do remember seeing Fergie on the cover and thinking the same exact thing. I believe once a person is over 25 (I’m 25) should not act like they’re still in the early 20’s. Another thing if Beyonce has grown as an artist why hasn’t her music grown, and it must not have grown unless she would not be catering to the youngsters on the cover of 17. For example my man I were flipping through the cable channel and Beyocne came on talking about her new album, she was talking about the ‘if I were a boy’ song, and she said that the song was for immature boys who don’t know how to be a men. Well, my man a 27 yr old said, Why is it that every time I hear something from her, she talks about being more mature and growing as an artist but yet she’s making music about catering to young boys being men? Everytime the media picks up on the open marriage and homosexual rumors, Will and Jada have to do a cover story in a magazine to deflect attention from the truth about their marriage. December covers are perfect promotion for her movie which premieres next Month and her album which will debut mid-November, she just had to SETTLE FOR Seventeem and that is totally obvious. It’s probably why she selected “geek chic” as her concept, the theme around which her shoot would be built. She knew her old champagne-sipping ass was too old for a magazine not only geared toward teen but CALLED SEVENTEEN. Okay?

That’s a nice cover pic of Will & Jada, but I agree with what someone else said already Essence, as well as Ebony, recycle the same people all the time. They need to take more risks and put others on the cover. I know they have to go with what will sell, but I’m sure even some of their loyal readers would agree on seeing some new faces. When Beyonce appeared on Star Search, it was 1983. If her birthday is September 4, 1981, she would’ve been 2 years old. But anything you search for about her appearance on the show states she was 8 or 9 years old. So if that’s the case, that would put her real birth year around 1975-1976; making her around 32. She’s blessed with the gift of looking youthful and working hard to maintain her body and if she stated she was any older, should probably wouldn’t be able to get away with the things she does.
Now if you go back to 1999, Case’s Happily Ever After video; a younger Beyonce was in the video as the lead female. If you do the math by going on the age she claims she is currently, 27, the video is 9 years old, which puts her at 18 years old. Now, if you go on the evidence supporting that she’s currently in her 30’s, then in the video, she’s around 23.
Now, Jay Z and Beyonce started their public relationship roughly 6 years ago (2002), which makes her 21 years old. And even if she says she started seeing him in 2000, that would put her around 19, according to her calendar. Remember, the speculation was out there for a long time (2 years just about) before it became official that they were together. But once again, if you go back 6 years on the evidence of her real age, she started dating him at age 24. Now 8 years later, that would put her at age 32.

Seventeen has had many people on their cover older than Beyonce. Beyonce’s has been on Seventeen’s cover plenty of times and she was over 17 then. That’s not an issue. The cover goes to people that are inspirational to their young readers – no matter what the age.
That being said, I love the striped blazer look.

Obviously, you didn’t subscribe to Seventeen magazine as a teen (if you’re an adult)…There was controversy once because someone had a show about eating disorders – Oprah, I think – and a representative/editor from the magazine came to talk about TEEN READERS AND THEIR PROBLEMS (emphasized that because it should give you some idea of how opposed Beyonce and Seventeen are) and a guest said she’d read a diet in the magazine. The representative denied it vehemently but the girl didn’t relent… This is just to give you some idea of the things they deal with in the magazine…I doubt it’s changed now, as eating disorders are more rampant… So, you see, there’s no way Beyonce could fit that mag’s reputation…especially since she’s known for that crazy liquid diet. They call it “the Beyonce diet”…She’s on that magazine because they’re trying to sell copies to impressionable fans who will buy it because she’s on it…
And there are other old people in the same issue – like Katy Perry and especially PINK – who are TOO OLD.
