MAGAZINES: BEYONCE FOR GOTHAM MAG
Beyonce goes red, white, and blue for the November issue of Gotham magazine. Her cover is accompanied by a high fashion photo spread inside the issue, where she models different styles for different countries.
The singer recently responded to Gotham’s article, which implied she was on the verge of a nervous breakdown during the start of her career:
“I wouldn’t say I was on the verge of a breakdown, Bey said, adding, “That’s a very strong thing to say.” So was she misquoted? She adds, “Maybe. I have been before.” SOURCE

I like Beyonce. I think she’s a very good entertainer, but she says that “maybe” she was misquoted. Either you said it or you didnt. I believe she did have some form of a breakdown. She worked very hard in 2006 on Dreamgirls and didn’t get the attention or the Oscar that she assumed she would get. Jennifer Hudson received all the glory while Beyonce just got a little attention. It is very hard for celebrities to adjust to losing when they are used to winning (especially when the whole world is watching). She got a serious dose of reality and overdosed on it which led to some mental issues. Makes sense to me.
@ #9 every artist that comes out don’t have to sing about the dwn poors of life to make it good music… music is surpose to make u feel good….. and that’s what she gives us…. she doesent have to stop promoting herself that is her job….. beyonce makes great music I luv dangerously n luv and bday becuz they have to different feels…. if she sang about the sad stuff in life then that wouldn’t b who she is… she’s not mary j nor keshia cole… although I luv them both beyonce is mixture of all music…. a legend a icon.. Maybe if she grows about 5 inches in height, and maybe if she loses about 10-15 punds she could possibly have a figure for modeling. Right now she is overweight and there is nothing about her look that says model —- IMHO these pictures are not flattering at all—- I am surprised her “people” allowed them to be released.—- It is obvious someone is not on their job this time around. ———- This shoot was a disaster and the pictures look like something that was done at an amature studio. The quality is lacking but that probably has something to do with Beyonce’s lack of experience as a mode.—-this is what I do for a living so I do know what I’m talking about. The angles of her body are all off, but I think she was directed to pose that way based on trying to elongate her body to make her appear thinner. Keep your day job Beyonce—modeling is not in your future unless you lose lots of weight. I would have also suggested a re-shoot because the pictures look sub-par.
