Jamie Foxx reveals the album cover for his new release, Intuition, which hits stores December 16th, just a few weeks after the official release of his T.I.-assisted single.
The new album contains productions from Tricky Stewart & The Dream, as well as Timbaland, hitmaker Ne-Yo, as well as Sean Garrett, and Salaam Remi. Even though I haven’t really been blown away by much of the material that’s leaked, I think this new album will be good for Jamie, considering that we haven’t heard anything from him musically since 2005′s hugely successful Unpredictable.
BEYONCE LINES UP 2 NEW SINGLES
Still on the promotional trail for her new album, I Am… Sasha Fierce, Beyonce, who first released the singles “If I Were A Boy” and “Singles Ladies,” is lining up two new singles in hopes of topping the charts once again.
It was originally reported that the second single from the Sasha Fierce side of the disk would be “Ego,” featuring none other than the ego man himself, Kanye West. However, with recent charting of the Bangladesh-produced, Sean Garrett-penned “Diva,” (it’s already charted on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop) has sat plans in new motion.
The Ryan Tedder-assisted “Halo” will be the second single from the more intimate I Am… side. Rumor has it that Beyonce had casting calls early this week in LA to find the leading man and that videos will be shot soon. I’m sure that the video for “Halo” will be gorgeous, but I’m interested to see what this “Diva” video will look like.
Also, it seems that many retailers were sold out of the album this week, and that Beyonce is expected to debut at #1 and reach gold status, selling over half a million copies.
SNOOP PREPS CHRISTMAS ALBUM?
Some interesting news! Snoop Dogg, who has lately been hanging out with Martha Stewart, revealed on her show that he was working on a non-traditional Christmas album that gives new meaning to the phrase “ho, ho, ho.”
“I’m putting out a Christmas record,” he told Martha. When questioned if this would be a rap album, he said, “I got a couple of R&B songs, but they’re just a lil’ bit different.”
Snoop has previously recorded holiday songs including “Santa Claus Goes Straight to the Ghetto” and “Santa Baby,” so this is nothing new for Snoop. However, there is no announcement on a release date. I don’t know how that’s going to work, considering that Christmas is right around the corner!

i just recently bought beyonce’s new album and I LOVE IT. i think its her best effort so far, honestly. Dangerously in Love & B’day were great albums, but this one has so much of a variety of different types of genres. HALO is a guaranteed number one, and DIVA is hawt!!!

I purchased I AM Sasha Fierce and I am so disappointed I called best buy and asked if I could bring it back!!! It is terrible. The Sasha side is all ghetto anthems!! I am shocked. I had only heard a bit of a few tracks like IIWAB and SL, I wanted to be surprised and boy was I surprised. This is the worst CD beyonce has ever made. The songs are tacky on Sasha Fierce side, I mean who does she think is going to be listening to this. My boyfriend was like what the heck ar you listening to, when she is screaming on the Diva track I had to turn it off, I was too embarrassed for anyone to hear me playing that in my car!! DC is not the highest female group. TLC is. They broke the guiness book of world record (?), or some shyt. DC sold close to 50 (?) million worldwide, but those numbers are also including their solo efforts as well.
“Halo” is one of Beyonce’s best songs, and it’s quickly become one of my all-time favorite songs. It’s just beautiful. I’m just afraid it’s going to be ridiculously overplayed, then I’ll start hating it.
“Diva” doesn’t do it for me. It’s repetitive to a fault, and never goes anywhere. I think it would have been grand if she stuck with the “milli”-style flow through the whole song instead of hacking it to pieces with that robotic “I”m like a diva!” chant over and over again. There’s a slim possibility it will grow on me, but I’ve been listening to the album for several days now and only two of the ballads on the first disc have really stuck to me.
I’ll probably buy Jamie’s cd. I have a strong appreciation for his voice. I just hope he comes really hard with the lyrical content and styling. He should be one of the biggest musical acts by now.

Remember with billboard when you do a double disc, even if 2 whole disc only contain 11 songs it counts as 2credits per album sold. So really 500,000 copies were not sold. Do the math people. Mathew Knowles needs to understand that becoming an icon is not about having a checklist and covering bases. IT takes more than 12 years and more than huge album sales and forbes lists. Many icons have never seen Forbes list because it was never about the money and sales to them.
