DC is not the highest female group. TLC is. They broke the guiness book of world record (?), or some shyt. DC sold close to 50 (?) million worldwide, but those numbers are also including their solo efforts as well.

“Halo” is one of Beyonce’s best songs, and it’s quickly become one of my all-time favorite songs. It’s just beautiful. I’m just afraid it’s going to be ridiculously overplayed, then I’ll start hating it.

“Diva” doesn’t do it for me. It’s repetitive to a fault, and never goes anywhere. I think it would have been grand if she stuck with the “milli”-style flow through the whole song instead of hacking it to pieces with that robotic “I”m like a diva!” chant over and over again. There’s a slim possibility it will grow on me, but I’ve been listening to the album for several days now and only two of the ballads on the first disc have really stuck to me.

I’ll probably buy Jamie’s cd. I have a strong appreciation for his voice. I just hope he comes really hard with the lyrical content and styling. He should be one of the biggest musical acts by now.

Mathew Knowles needs to understand that becoming an icon is not about having a checklist and covering bases. IT takes more than 12 years and more than huge album sales and forbes lists. Many icons have never seen Forbes list because it was never about the money and sales to them. It was about longevity and quality music even is the masses weren’t ready for it.Most icons have put in over 20-30 years of music.

TLC is the highest female group? I thought DC was. I remember some awards that Usher, Babyface, Rihanna, Tierra Marie, Amerie and some others gave a tribute to them and they were awarded the top selling or the highest female group.
