About Beyonce, I can’t believe that nobody has said yet how messed up it is that she just sold Jay Z out for record sales. Her Dad said everything was planned out and they covered all bases,they wanted to make her an icon… Anybody with an iota of sense knows that means HE BARTERED INFO ABOUT HER WEDDING FOR MAGAZINE COVERS. And she wanted to talk about that wedding because it 1. CREATED BUZZ FOR HER RECORD and 2. MEANT, AS I SAID, THAT PUBLICATIONS WOULD BE INTERESTED IN HAVING HER ON THE COVER and finally 3. THAT SHE WOULD LOOK ACCESSIBLE AND DOWN TO EARTH AND IN THAT WAY MORE BELIEVABLE AS AN ACTRESS (TRYING TO GET THE OSCAR).
I’m shocked nobody has said anything about that yet. Poor Jay Z…he’s all in magazines talking about that’s his peace of mind, keeping that private and she and her Dad sell it as a part of her media blitz. I feel sorry for her husband - the man had two or three record debut strong on the charts and fall into oblivion and not once did he sell her out in interviews to garner much-needed buzz but she has an album coming out and is trying to move units and solidify herself as an icon and she totally sells him out! I mean, she sung like a bird! Took it all the way back to the nineties!
Ahhh fake, fake, fake! This whole campaign of tying her album to her movie and pushing toward an Oscar through icon status is just ridiculous. And Jay Z looks like an idiot in all of it!!

But about the topic at hand, Jamie’s got a great voice though his material is a bit..I don’t know. Beyonce isn’t fooling anybody - she isn’t bringing out “Ego” because Kanye made not one but two statements about Rihanna owning the pop scene… After the first statement, in which he said Rihanna made Beyonce step her game up even more, and the flurry that resulted he went on to make ANOTHER, affirming Rihanna as “arguably the biggest artist in the world.” There’s no way that really low brow song would be the next single just as Oscar short lists are being tabulated otherwise. And Snoop lost me many years ago, I’m afraid.

Halo is my jam I was looking forwards to Ego, but Diva is already getting play in the clubs so Why not release it?

But about the “until she sells the pictures, I won’t believe it” thing…Think about it - If I’m using something to barter with several parties, I would want that thing to be able to go around, no? So, why would I ever do something like giving one publication “the scoop”…especially when it isn’t about the money, but only the media attention. Beyonce is getting more bang for her buck here…If she sold those pictures to US weekly or People mag, they’d have run the story (which is so old now that really, how much could she have gotten at this point? That’s another thing…It would have APPEARED desperate. But as I said, despite being a valid one, it’s another argument) and that would have been it for that story as far as everyone was concerned because the magazine would have undoubtedly devoted several pages to the story - a dozen page spread that would have left everyone satisfied and over it.
Matthew told Billboard mag they covered all bases and that she would sell a million and be an icon, he was sure of it. And sensational information about her marriage and Jay Z (why did she have to tell everyone that he started seeing her when she was a teen?) was just bait in this instance…

It isn’t personal at all…so I see no reason to agree to disagree…That would be like making a concession when I know I don’t have to here. It is a fact, in Blender mag last year when he was promoting “American Gangster” he was asked several questions about her and to all of them he replied “No comment”… Now, several months later, while promoting her own cd, she’s not only talking about the “hot topic” (the wedding) but taking us back almost a decade into the early stages of their relationship. DC is not the highest female group. TLC is. They broke the guiness book of world record (?), or some shyt. DC sold close to 50 (?) million worldwide, but those numbers are also including their solo efforts as well.

“Halo” is one of Beyonce’s best songs, and it’s quickly become one of my all-time favorite songs. It’s just beautiful. I’m just afraid it’s going to be ridiculously overplayed, then I’ll start hating it.

“Diva” doesn’t do it for me. It’s repetitive to a fault, and never goes anywhere. I think it would have been grand if she stuck with the “milli”-style flow through the whole song instead of hacking it to pieces with that robotic “I”m like a diva!” chant over and over again. There’s a slim possibility it will grow on me, but I’ve been listening to the album for several days now and only two of the ballads on the first disc have really stuck to me.

I’ll probably buy Jamie’s cd. I have a strong appreciation for his voice. I just hope he comes really hard with the lyrical content and styling. He should be one of the biggest musical acts by now.

SMH. I am not sure where I recently heard this, but all that fiasco about Jay-Z and Rihanna has turned out to be a big, fat lie. But, guess where the lie originated? Her own publicist has taken credit for creating the rumors. Peep this from Associated Content:
