Just a couple of weeks away from its release, the full version of Beyonce’s third studio, I Am… have surfaced on the internet. You can now preview the entire album. The double disc will drop November 18th, in two formats. One version will be a deluxe edition, with extra songs.
Beyonce co-wrote all the songs on I Am… with production from Rodney Jerkins, Mr. Bangladesh, Tricky Stewart & The Dream, Stargate, Amanda Ghost, and many more. The album, from what I gathered, is pretty impressive. I expected to love the Sasha Fierce side moreso than the Beyonce side of the album, but I was pleasantly surprised.
KERI HILSON PUSHED BACK AGAIN
Unfortunately, Billboard.com has reported that Keri Hilson’s debut album, In A Perfect World…, originally slated for September 23rd release, then pushed back to November, and then December 9th has been pushed back again, all the way to “early 2009.”
Keri, who just released a video for the Timbaland-produced second single, “Return the Favor” and recently just shot a video for her third single, the Lil’ Wayne-assisted “Turnin’ Me On,” has been writing for a while now, and had fans excited to finally get a glimpse of Keri as an artist for a while now, but it seems as though now we’re going to wait just a little while longer.
In A Perfect World… will contain productions from Timbaland, Polow Da Don, Royal Court as well as newcomer Cory Bold, with cameos from Lil’ Wayne, Timbaland, Tank, Akon and R. Kelly
“I didn’t want to do an album that painted me perfect,” she said. “What’s missing in music is just that: showing the vulnerable side of women, the real. Showing women you can be yourself. You don’t have to walk around like your sh*t doesn’t stink.”
Well, Keri… I hope to hear a solid release date sooner than later, because I don’t want her fans to start to get discouraged or lose interest.
MARIO PREPS NEW ALBUM
Mario is prepping and putting the finished touches on his upcoming fourth album, which is currently untitled. Mario mentioned before that he was working with a few producers to make a more cohesive effort, so he’s been in the studio with the likes of Rodney ‘Darkchild’ Jerkins, Tricky Stewart, Babyface, Stargate, Polow Da Don and KP Malay to bring you this new album.
Mario describes this album as the “most personal, colossal album of his career.” The album will drop at the top of 2009 via J. Records.
Okay why does Keri keep getting pushed back?????? That is not cool. I am looking forward to the new Mario. I don’t really care about Beyonce’s album.

I heard the entire CD and there is some good stuff on there “Disappear” and then she rode into whackness trying to rap and curse. It’s miss mash of too many different styles – pop, rock, acoustic, hip-hop, bubble gum. It kinda made me take one listen and go – “ummmmkay” and pick up my Jazmine Sullivan. I like her but it’s way below the quality I was expecting. Just like Mariah – I will be buying singles on itunes.
I like B and all but I am already suffering from overexposure and her album hasn’t even dropped yet.

OK I am confused is this the full album cuz were are the songs “Scared of Lonely”, “Smash into You” (wish is my jam), “That’s Why You’re Beautiful”, “Why Don’t You Love Me”, “Hello”, “Ego” (which is supposedly her nxt single so why is not on the album) or is that the Deluxe Edition only going to have those songs.
I think B’s taken a big risk with this album… I’m not sure it’s working for me but I am sure it will sell well anyway

I like Beyounce! but I just listened to the album and the first disc was remakes and Im disappointed. I wanted something original like her first album but the 2nd disc is okay. I still like B but i expected better.
At number 10-Meka…yea, this the is the standard edition, so all those others u mentioned will be on the deluxe double disc..

And Bey does have a lot of sounds on this disc but i like the variety, not too much pop, not too much urban, not too much dancing, not too much love music. I likes..
That Mario song is my favorite song above everything on the radio.

I like Beyonce, but I agree with #3 it has too many different styles that don’t flow together and some that are just plain bad. I’m sure her cd will still sell well, but I don’t know if her target market is going to feel the album. It is definitely one of those I would only purchase singles from.
There was too much going on. I was stressed out trying to keep up with all the stuff. Maybe one CD with 18 songs – 9-Beyonce/9 Sasha – but all this boom shakalacka with a sundance twist had my head hurting. And I still listen to her first solo CD. It’s the best she’s done. I think on this new thing she is trying to hit every markert at once and it’s too much. “Ava Marie” is a beautiful song, but where in the hell does it fit in? I am suprised there was not a country version.
As long as Keri keeps popping up in other people’s video’s that she wrote songs for…and showingher face with Timbaland and Justin T, she’ll be OK. She just has to stay away from the “Due Drop In status such as Michelle and Kelly, who weren’t widely seen everywhere with all demographics.

******I’m wondering how Beyonce co-wrote all of the songs on the album. If I was a ******boy was written and recorded by that white girl before Beyonce got a hold of it ******and it sounds the same to me, word for word.
She did it like all other artist do – she added an “oohh” or and “aahhh” and she gets co-wrote creds.
I am waiting, patiently to hear Keri’s album.

Beyonce is amazing, and it shows in these few tracks that have leaked. Instead of giving everyone all of the same ol’ stuff you on the radio she’s actually digging deep to deliver something that is incredible. This only supports the notion that she is a force in the music industry, not a wavering thought like some of these “come and go” artists (Not Keri or Mario, because I do love them too). What I will say is that I hope this leak was a calculated move by her camp, and that it wont be pirated before its release.
Time to think outside the box people.

I AM…. has a good variety of songs on both discs. I like how Beyonce is experimenting with different styles, and not staying in that urban-pop area. I agree some people wont be feeling this new sound, but it dosen’t hurt to experiment. She is taking risk, and knows what can happen with this new release; good or bad.
Overall I’m excited to purchase the new CD, and hope she sells well.

#20 thanks for clearing that up looks like I will be purchasing the deluxe edition I hope they don’t have a limited number of deluxe edition in stores come nov 18, because I remember way back buying Kingdom Come the deluxe edition of the album the one that had the DVD sold out the quickest.
And oh I can not wait to get the Keri album and I always support Mario.

I keep comparing these artist to their best and I get dissapointed each and everytime. Maybe this is another Alicia Keys last album (wait before you state I am not comparing detail) at first when I preview Keys album I hated As I am but after a few listens its my favorite. I want to be able to do the same with Mrs. Carter but I can’t get past her first solo album that will always be my sheet. And Sasha is NOT fierce at all more like Beyonce talking ghetto “Whaaaaattt yo nammee iss?” IDK?. I expected the ‘I am’ part to be like Dangerously in love and the ‘Sasha fierce’ part like B’day. i listen to whole the album and it was trash. the beyonce side was dry and life less and the sasha side was generic and ghetto. that ghetto husband of hers has influenced her music too much. i had high hopes for her, but judging from the album and her life choices, it might be time for her to retire.
Brian knows that she didnt cowrite all the songs on the album, he should have said “beyonce is claiming cowriting credits on all songs”! I feel sorry for BC jean who naively thinks she is being given full credit for the song. As a songwriter no amount of money would make me give up writing credits for a song I wrote out of a personal experience, when it means that much to me.
On the song Diva she states that she sold 50 million, wtf! That must include destinys child sales which were a group effort, she wasn’t a solo artist then. Realistically she may have sold 10-15 mill maybe. Mariah has sold 160 mill plus but she doesn’t boast about it! Someone is in need of a humility pill or two.

Omg. I am so tired of oversaturated Beyonce. She is just doing way too much for me. And before you all start: I AM NOT HATING. I am simply a person that loves music, and is tired of the garbage that she is putting out and labeling it as “music.” This song is ok, but “Single Ladies??????” She could put out ANYTHING, and people will still flock to it. So the girl is pretty, can hold a tune, and can dance. How old is she now, and most of the time she still sings songs about looking sexy, being single, and whatever else. A true musician and entertainer shows growth and depth within their music, and to me, it really just seems to all run togther when it comes to her.

I was a fan of Beyonce’s (first album), but for her to come out and push this garbage on everyone twice (including B-Day), is just BANANAZ!
