♫ NEW TRACKS FROM BRANDY
While being on the promo trail for her new album, Human, due out December 9th, Brandy has released a second single, “Long Distance,” the follow-up to the Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins-produced “Right Here (Departed).” In addition to her second single, she will appear on the third single from John Legend’s new album, “Quickly.”
Here are two new tracks from Brandy: “Torn Down,” produced by Midi Mafia (they are also responsible for “Quickly”), which is one of the more uptempo songs which will appear on Human, as well as as the bonus track, “Gonna Find My Love.” Both of these songs are pretty good. I’m a little disappointed that Brandy isn’t including “Gonna Find My Love” on the album, because so far, it seems as though the tempo of Human will be pretty mid-to-slow.

I love Gonna Find My Love. Torn down is nice but it will have to grow on me. Nonetheless, Brandy will be gettin’ my money on Dec. 6th.
I heard these tracks awhile back and I like. She is being versatile this time around with her sounds. You can really tell she is trying to reach a big crowd of folks. Jlinz we all know Beyonce is the Queen of Music but you dont have to hate on Brandy tho. I think Epic has great promo lined up now but from the start they didnt. Im so ready for the album to drop even tho I disapproved her singles.
I was flipping through the new issue of Vibe magazine with the rapper Plies is on the cover. I was surprised to see an article with Brandy (about 2 or 3 pages) and the fact that she was not on the cover was shocking to me. Brandy has a new album coming out that has been pushed back and her song barely gets radio play. Brandy should have been on the cover of Vibe. I really don’t think this new album will be a comeback for her at all.

LOL I swear people are forever hating. Beyonce’s name doesn’t even need to be mentioned here, Britney either. Brandy is coming with some seriously great material. I am really impressed. I’m so excited about her album. Since Bey’s name was brought up, I’ll say this. I listened to her new album in it’s entirety, and Brandy’s material is better. The throw away tracks Brandy isn’t even using for the album are better than Bey’s stuff. Hell, it’s better than most of the stuff ANY of these chicks are putting out.
Brandy’s vocals on “Gonna Find My Love” are CRAZY. I love this chick. She has so much power and emotion in her voice, and adapts it to any beat so well.
“Torn Down” is a good track too. Again, Brandy’s voice rides the melody really well. She is one of the most original vocalists of our time.
I am DEFINITELY picking up this album Dec 9th.
RnB will be brought back to life Dec. 9th.

anyone with ears will tel you that music of the 90s is far better than 99.999% of music being released today!
And there is no denying that Brandy was one of the voices of the 90s, I grew up listening to her, her music was great. Never say never is one of the best r&b albums of that decade.
And Beyonde and britney definately have nothing to do with this post so why are they being mentioned. If Brandy’s album doesnt do well it will be because the music industry is saturated by the likes of 1 or 2 female artists who record labels rely on to make them money. Its sad when talented artists cant do well because of the greed of others ie the forenamed singers.
Brandy has been featured on the hills, both performances were stellar.

I am not at all sure why there are so many comparisons between Beyonce and Brandy, when they are clearly different artist.
I am sure that Brandy admire’s Beyonce high octaine performance ability, and I can PROMISE you as a singer, I know that Beyonce admires Brandy’s superior vocal technicality.
For all Beyonce’s whailing over tracks (which sometimes works, and sometimes not so much) she doesn’t have the harmonizing or rifting technique Brandy posseses. Additionally, Beyonce has a signature voice, but not a completely authentic sound, whereas there has never been someone that sounds like Brandy.
So I am sure these artist respect one anothers gifts, its time for the fans to catch up.
What’s funny is that you never hear people pitting Ne-Yo against R.Kelly, unless they ignite some type of beef themselves. You never hear people saying that Usher is afraid to drop because Chris Brown is coming out soon.
Sad that its mostly women pitting these women against each other, as it was when I was in high school watching the chicks go crazy over who was more talented – Monica, or Brandy? Whow as prettier? Monica or Brandy.
So now Monica has fallen off enough, that Beyonce has taken her place as the small minded drama seeking fans who love a good cat fat.
I don’t even have to listen to the tracks to know I’m getting this album. People on here mentioning Beyonce, why? I’d rather buy Brandy’s c.d. over Beyonce’s. Brandy doesn’t get the credit she deserves, hope she does well this time.

Both of these tracks are great, Brandy always delivers with her albums. I am not shocked. She is one of the few artist, that we can honestly say, has never had a bad album.

LOL Good R&B is OK, but it can be tiring? LOL! LMAO is all I have to say…that is possibly the most backwards, unappreciative and idiotic thing I’ve read on the board. In fact, its even more seneless than the Beyonce comparisons, simply because we are talking about a valuable, complicated genre of music that has influenced every other genre of music that there is.

I personally don’t see anything wrong with competition, i.e. #29 Fum. When there is competition, we the consumers benefit. Instead, only one big name artist will release and everyone else has to fall back?!?! Why, let them earn that #1 spot, let them earn bragging rights. Hell, it’s our money. If they want it, make them compete for it.
Case in point the Kanye vs Fifty dispute. Regardless of which artist you were rooting for, we the consumers were given a choice.

These songs are AMAZING! Brandy is the ultimate musician. She’s so versatile…there isn’t a genre she hasn’t tried. She’s a freakin musical BEAST! Fire!!!! Now this is what quality R&B sounds like. Songs with a message and good production to bring the words to life. These songs are the best I’ve heard from the album so far.
It’s a shame that some people seem to only be concerened about analyzing and comparing numbers and release dates. That’s the record label’s priority and concern not yours. The only thing you should be concerned about is whether you will support the artist or not on whatever date their album is released. If some people truly cared about the music, they wouldn’t bother bringing other names onto the post to discredit other artists. Joe Budden did a song about Who Killed Hip Hop and he was the telling the truth about how consumers today are so worried about the sales and compeition rather than the artists. The same applies to R&B. Someone needs to make a song about who killed R&B. Maybe then people will wake up and realize how pointless and shallow they sound.
Most of the songs that are out is leaked tracks that wont even be on the album which I wish she would have kept on the album! I listened and downloaded gonna find me love and torn down because they were just itunes bonus tracks. But im going to wait and buy her album on the 9th. Im so excited. i love this girl so much lol. But since you mentioned it, I heard all of Beyonce’s new album and it’s really a bunch of leftovers from the B’Day album. It’s not too original at all, well at least the uptempo stuff is not original.
I love the two tracks! Brandy delivers quality productions as well as quality vocals, which is what we are missing in todays R&B. I think todays music is more about quantity than quality anyway.

As far as comparing Brandy to Beyonce they are too different artists with different singing style. They are apples and oranges. I think Brandy is a legend and a true vocalist. Who has consistently put out quality albums and doesn’t need to be all up on the spotlight to sell records. I’m not worried about her record sells going up against Beyonce’s cause Brandy has a fan base that will go out and support just like Beyonce. But I do have a promblem with urban stations playing a pop song like If I Were A Boy but they won’t play Right Here Departed. I don’t know anywayz love BROCKA she will have all my money on Dec. 9th!!!!!
