Superstar Kanye West recently chatted it up with reporters in London and spoke candidly about his want for kids and the death of his mother Dr. Donda West.
ON WANTING KIDS
“I want to have kids, But I want to have the right girl too – someone who really cares about me.”
“It’s lonely at the top,” he told reporters Tuesday at a London listening party for the new album. “Losing my mom, having no woman in my life to support me – I feel like I’m on my own and can only express it through my music.”
ON THE LOSS OF HIS MOTHER
“I didn’t do any interviews after my mom passed, I wasn’t ready to speak about [it],” he said. “Now I’d rather talk it through than commit suicide. I’m super devastated.”
Cruelly, the rapper blames himself – or more specifically, his fame – for her death. “I feel like I moved to California, then my mom moved to California, and she did stuff she wouldn’t have done if we’d stayed in Chicago,” he said. “If I’d never made it in the music business, it never would’ve happened.” [ READ MORE ]
50 CENT TALKS BLOGS WITH THE LA TIMES
In a recent interview with the LA Times, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson spoke on blogs and even shouted CL out. That’s wassup!
50 Cent: People enjoy looking at pictures! That’s why they go to gossip sites. Half the time what they’re saying is [baloney]. They want to see you when it’s not the red-carpet look, that you’ve got the designer dress that cost $20,000 and $2 million in jewels and when they gave you the chain they gave you a security person. They don’t want that. They want the real deal — they want to see you going to the store. This is why products like Uggs got popular real quick. Because they got a chance to see the celebrity paparazzi shot with the woman wearing Uggs. Same deal with Von Dutch. They see so many people wearing that — they didn’t realize Von Dutch was giving those hats to celebrities.
So wait, you get up in the morning and look at, like, Perez Hilton?
You better look at Perez Hilton, ThisisFifty.com, Concrete Loop, Gawker — you can skip Media Takeout. Because they are 50 Cent haters.
Fiddy is currently hosting his reality show “50 Cent: The Money and the Power”, which airs Thursdays on MTV.

♫ Brandy feat. James Fauntleroy - Drumlife (full) - listen
Wow. I understand why this didn’t go on Brandy’s new album, Human, slated for release December 9th, but I really love it. This song feels so good to me. A lot of the material that we’ve gotten from Brandy this era has been a little sad, but this song really makes me feel good. With Timbaland on the production, and the amazing writer, James Fauntleroy penning the tracks and on background vocals, I just really dig the direction. I’m hoping that the Timbaland productions on the album feel somewhat like this.
♫ Jamie Foxx - Baby Baby Damn (full) - listen
Since the announcement of the release of Jamie Foxx’s new album, Intuition, it seems as though material has began to leak from left and right. Although the new single is growing on me, this pretty much sounds like some leftovers from the first album. Produced by the Underdogs (not surprised), production-wise, it’s a little dated for me. It sounds like the stuff they were doing for Omarion and B2K years ago. Hopefully, this is from old sessions - Jamie’s gotta come harder than this.
