Ummm Tyra has the only show where most of the girls who are on it are working and making serious money now. Almost all the girls that at least make it to top 7 are working. I see them in Vouge in Fashion shows commercials and everything. Eva is a model and actress (young and the restless I think) now.

THE GIRLS YOU MENTIONED THAT HAVE BEEN AT LEAST IN THE TOP 7 HAVE FAIRED NO BETTER THAN ANY OTHER MODEL IN NEW YORK, LA, MIAMI, WHO HAVE AGENTS, AND HAVEN’T BEEN PIMPED ON TYRA’S SHOW…..THOSE ARE THE JOBS A GOOD AGENCY CAN GET YOU ANYWAYS, WITHOUT GOING ON A SHOW, GETTING RIPPED TO SHREDS, BY A DAMN NEAR FAT MODEL, WHOSE CAREER WAS SAVED BY VICTORIA SECRET, CAUSE SHE WAS TOO THICK TO DO ANY OTHER TYPE OF MODELIN…..

and to jscene….tyra may be “banking” off of these girls…but they allow her ass to,and mostly all of them are working….even the ones who didnt win…the show allowed their faces to be put out there and to get closer to their dream jobs….if it wasnt for the show most of them would still be working at walmart…the show also allows the girls to know what the hell they are in for in the industry whether they win or not,they will be one up on the next girl who thinks shes already got it…..people think that being in the music industry and fashion industry is easy but it aint…the shits hard…all the way down to making beats trust me…tyra irritates me because sometimes she is contradicting and like you said she faults girls for some things they shouldnt be faulted for….but for the most part…her show has gotten alot of those girls opportunities….hell other models try to make it by just walking in and hoping their pretty enough…these girls leave the show…with experience…a familar face and a portforlio with beautiful pictures which other models have to build on ,but i understand where your coming from

Why all the drama over who is a top model or not? Props to Tyra for capitalizing on her career and experience. People can debate back and forth all day about what her motives are but at the end of the day, she’s still the queen. She used her name in modeling to get a TV gig which is what she has wanted for so long so it seems natural that she would do a modeling show. Who cares if these women are model material or not. The point is, it’s TV! So, there is some truth to it and some not.
Those girls that got on the show are the lucky ones out of thousands so who gives a crap if someone is not modeling a lot or mod material. They wanted to try to get into the biz and so they auditioned. It’s up to them what they do after the show. Geez!
And by the way, a lot of those women are modeling in high fashion especially the white girls in Asia and Europe. They may not be seen all over but they are modeling and making their money.

I gotta agree with all the people that said that the girls from Top Model are actually working even those who did not win. I used to think they weren’t but I took the time to research, and a good percentage of the girls are modeling, and not just in the states, they are all over the place. I have a picture set as my desktop background right now of Danille Evans and CariDee English who were winners, and they are modeling for covergirl, several of the girls have had their Covergirl contracts renewed, and do ads in other countries, so they are working. Just because it is not front page news, does not mean it’s not real, so it’s best to research before just shootin’ off and saying a bunch of mess! You have to fill out an application and a bunch of other stuff to be on Top Model, so nobody put a gun to those chicks head and made them go. And by season 99 you’d think people would know what to expect! Let that marinate! I stand behind what I said too! LOL

tyra does a lot for teenage girls. thats her passtion. she promotes self esteem with her camps and many of her projects r aimed at teen age girls and their issues. Of course, we are all a little self serving.

Is it just me or is it that every time you read an article posting a celebrities age, you think “when they first came out, I couldve sworn I was 3, 4, or 5 years older than this person.” But when you read a recent article, you are either the same age or one year older. What is up with these celebrities having more birthdays in between each year. I remember when Eva was on top model and they said that we was nineteen, I thought “wow, she’s so young” Now we’re only a year apart.
