I work at Best Buy and whenever we sell a Beyonce CD or any other artists CD is goes on the computer and they ship us more of that item. As for Beyonce’s latest album, it will get her nominated…EVERY popular singer gets nominations but she won’t even win a couple awards. Estelle and Kanye’s “American Boy” will win Rap sung whatever of the year (what she won for “Crazy in Love”) and Estelle or Jazmine Sullivan just might pull an upset and win contemporary album of the year. I think Alicia Keys will win in every R&B category and in a few pop categories. Beyonce will probably win one for best vocals on an R&B song. Pink will definitely win best vocals on a Pop song. I predict Beyonce winning only one this year but being a strong contender for contemporary R&B album. Solange just might upset her sister. I didn’t like her CD but many think it’s the best R&B album this year…So that would be Beyonce, Solange, Estelle and Jazmine in that category. But you’ve still got to work in Adele (probably best song contender for “Chasing Pavements) and Duffy. Beyonce will only shine at this year’s Grammy’s if she goes on to have so many hits before the production that they need her to get butts in the seat. I just can’t see them pushing her to the top over so many artists who deserve it more (Estelle, Adele, Jazmine…they turned out some great stuff!)

As for the pop categories, she would have had to contend with not only Adele and Duffy but Leona, Pink, and Christina (whose latest release of her hits contains a few new tracks)…. Her father submitted singles to be recognized this year, if I’m not mistaken..the first two and she might even get a nomination for Etta James’ At Last if her year is big enough and the Grammys want to capitalize off of it…It’s true, they might push her through to get her fans in the seat and ratings up but I just can see them with any level of seriousness pushing her ahead of great artists and solid efforts like Estelle’s and Adele’s latest. I tend not to mention Duffy’s weight, though she has it and a lot of it, because I think she’s a fake Amy Winehouse but she’ll win big this year…and Coldplay.
What would be funny is if Amy actually released her album next year…Beyonce’s latest album won’t have the legs, if Halo soars, to deal with what almost everyone recognizes as Amy’s genius.

If I remember correctly, when Outkast released Speakerboxx, it sold 1 million but was calculated to be 2 million because there were 2 CDs. Is that what happened here? B is a talented young lady. Pretty vocals and a wonderful stage presence. And she is HUSTLER. However, not everyone likes her. And that is OK. Some people like Madonna, others don’t. Some people like Mariah, others don’t. Just because someone says something anti-Beyonce that is reasonable, does not make them a hater. The world is big enough for fans and people that don’t feel her. She is not losing sleep over that.

Personally, she should just continue doing what she is doing. She is not an icon. YET. Be patient, people. It takes years and years. She is not at Mariah, Whitney, Janet, Madonna or even Celine’s level. Mariah used to go DIAMOND with EACH of her albums in the US ALONE (that is TEN MILLION) and so have the other artists. I believe the comment that said they are raising expectations too high. She is great at what she does.. let it be. Over time, she may get there. Wishing her the best.

I was never a fan of Beyonce maybe liked a few of her songs here and there but I have always said her ass is flat.Just because it is wide don’t mean it is big.Also I think she tries too hard and she is an attention seeker which irks me. I prefer Ashanti to her and I don’t like beyonces singing either she doesn’t have a good voice and plenty of others can outsing her. It is just all this hype surrounding her.I just flat out can’t stand her.And NO I am not jealous I am Puertorican I look good so why would I be jealous of beyonce? I like Shakira she is prettier and can move her hips and the beautiful liar video was funny to me because I know beyonce is jealous of Shakira that is why she wanted to make a video with her so she could copy her moves and her style.beyonce can’t stand anyone else getting attention,especially a beautiful columbian woman like Shakira.
