Beyonce smiles with an early voter as she visited the African-American Research Library and Cultural Center in Florida over the weekend. Also spotted there were Jay-Z, Diddy, Mary J. Blige, and Russell Simmons – who all campaigned for Obama, urging the voters to put him in the White House.

If you don’t like a celeb then here’s a thought, don’t listen to their music, buy their CD’s or support any jucture that celebrity is involved in! it’s just that simple cause with all the hate I read on this & other sites (just about the above people alone!) That way some one can hold a spot in line while someone else goes to the bathroom–eat, whatever..Turn it into a party! I know some folks who have waited hours to get in to a club so I think this is waaaay more important. It’s history in the making, something to tell the grandkids

It is one thing to help someone when they are down another to make a living off it..These people know how to work the system and live on the free bee’s I have seen it first hand from my own family..All of us but one sister works hard we all have paid for homes but this sister and her daughetr live off the system as matter of fact my neice found out if she had another child she could get more free bee’s so she had a 3 child I have never felt so sorry for any child as I have these children because Iknow how they will grow up… their dads are black and never around but to get her pregant and my sister likes to tell them they are being “pick” on becuase of their color when people at the schools try and get them to behave..Both fathers have a record amile long ..I almost gald my mom and dad are not here to to see how low they have gone..oh yet this sister only had a 250.00 house payment and never would pay it now getting foreclosed on and she waiting to get hud so we all pay for these type of people.She is the black sheep of the family..She has shamed my father name that he and we work so hard to keep clean to honor them they where wonderful parents but this happens in every family

I’m sure in some way or another you and your ancestors “profited” from a handout from the United States government since your people are from Germany. Loss of jobs, loss of breadwinner, stock market decline, natural disasters, etc. have forced people to look to the government for help. You just never know this could happen to you!
if you faced a personal financial disaster and you needed help for your family, would you really care who’s president then, or would you concentrate on getting a needed handout? Be glad you’re in the States because a lot of other countries do not provide any relief whatsoever.

A friend of mine wore an Obama shirt (which I told her NOT to…ppl dont listen. LOL). She waited in line for 3hrs only to be kicked out of line, and told she had to go home and change if she wanted to vote!
It’s an insult for people to claim Beyonce is the baddest black chick; she’s so fuckin plain jane to me when she’s not in the 20 pounds of weave, makeup, etc. Black folks are so easily impressed and fooled; that’s why white folks sell us shit that costs 20 cents to make and charge our dumb ass $300.00 for it, and we actually pay it; they love us cause we are easily fooled with smokes and mirrors. I hope everyone votes, i did early voting, and i’m so glad i got it out of the way. I had to stand in line for 8 hours, but it was worth it. And i’m glad i actually did research on the voting bills and senators as well, so i had some knowledge of those people when voting. Some people just vote straight democrat without even researching the stance of the candidate. This is exciting, one more day to go!

When i went to vote, there were busloads and busloads of elderly people being dropped off to vote. The polling location i went to had a special entrance for them, where they still had to wait cause it was so many of them, but their wait time was about 2 to 3 hours, just like the handicapped.
I also saw alot of young people my age…i never seen that many young people in line. It’s usually middle-aged people out to vote….
Nobody can deny this is an exciting time…….everybody seems to be throwing in their vote.
They are have so many election parties planned in the area i live in, and i heard New York is doing the same thing……one more day yall…
I’ve already voted early and I hope this is the beginning of many of my peers (myself included)to get more informed and involved in the game of politics.Let’s start studying strategies of the game and play chess
