HBO recently closed a seven-figure deal for U.S. rights to an untitled Barack Obama documentary which will include exclusive filming footage of President’s electoral campaign:
Norton’s Class 5 Films approached the Obama campaign in early 2006 about a documentary chronicling the new president elect’s history in politics. Directors Amy Rice and Alicia Sams were granted extensive access to film Obama before he launched his presidential run in 2007 and have continued their shoot through his historic victory this week. Reports say that the documentary will premiere on HBO sometime in 2009.
OBAMA DAUGHTERS ON HANNA MONTANA?
Other news with the first family -word is Obama’s daughters Sasha and Malia Obama have both been asked to make an appearance on the Disney hit TV series “Hanna Montana”:
Cyrus, the father of “Hannah Montana” star Miley Cyrus and also an actor on the hit Disney Channel show, said the show had asked Malia, 10, and Sasha Obama, 7, to take part in an episode possibly around April.
“They probably will. The invitation is there,” Cyrus told Access Hollywood in an interview. “You know the ‘Hannah Montana’ film comes out in April. Maybe something might happen around then.” SOURCE
The two daughters were last seen with their Dad yesterday in D.C checking out elite private schools they may attend when he makes the big move to the White House.
OPRAH LEAVING ABC?
Word is that media mogul Oprah Winfrey is looking to leave ABC soon and form her own network after her TV show is up:
Reports have surfaced saying Oprah will be joining forces with Discovery Communications to form the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) which promises a brand new potpourri of fuzzy, cuddly, safe for everyone programming that tests high in both heart-warming and heart-wrenching categories.
David Zaslav, Discovery’s president and CEO says, “The expectation is that after [the 2010-11 season] her show will go into syndication, and she will come to OWN.” SOURCE
In response to this speculation, HARPO studios responded by saying that though her show will be up in 2011, Winfrey “has not made a final decision as to whether she will continue her show in syndication beyond that.”
BOW WOW’S RACY SCENE ON ENTOURAGE
Bow Wow went to a whole new level with his acting and aired his first sex scene on the last episode of the HBO series “Entourage”. Word is, he didn’t know he was caught off guard when he filmed it, which involved the 21 year old rapper getting in the nude and doing the scene with a porn star:
He says, “It was crazy because I didn’t know. I was on set and they had like a robe in my trailer and I’m like, ‘So what is this all about?’ and they said, ‘You have a sex scene today.’ I’m like, ‘A what?’

I agree with #63, just like what Erykah Badu said on her last album “No niggas only MASTER TEACHERS!!” Bow Wow really needs to be careful in the roles he picks. These children now are moving so fast and watching tv is were they get most of these ideas. If it was a love making scene where he showed more passion for the female, then MAYBE it wouldn’t have been so bad. Nevertheless, he thought of his fans and didn’t stand like he should have.
As far as Malia and Sasha on Hanna Montana, I don’t think they should do it. It’s just awfully strange how NOW this show wants to put the new African American first sisters on AFTER the race to most likely promote the movie.
