I am no stan of Beyonce but I recognize her hustle and her talent. I listen and I love alot of her music. It amazes me how Beyonce is constantly criticized for doing things that have been going on for years. I think the # of people that are constantly going at this girl is proof enough that she has already achieved or got real close to her goal of being an icon.

I guess they’re letting certain people view the film so that they can give an in-depth analysis of it in the interviews and articles Beyonce will be doing to promote her album…it means promoting the film simultaneously, I guess. Well, obviously the writer didn’t think much of her performance…at least not as much as her acting coach would like us to make of it… He/She merely reference Beyonce’s “memorable entrance” in the flick…one that finds her snapping “And don’t look at me like I aint got no panties on” or something like that. And to this really overexposed scene where she nearly overdoses, he/she wrote something like “for one of the last pop stars with a wholesome image, it’s a different visual”… If you read the thing, you get that the man/woman who interviewed her thought the whole Oscar-worthy performance thing is overblown…
