I normally never post. In fact this is my first time. I just have to say something because this Beyonce bashing is getting on my nerves. I am a huge B fan in fact when I saw her in concert I started crying when she stepped on the stage ( I can’t believe I admitted that). Anyway, I agree she is no actress and I am baffled that she receives the movie roles that she gets because I can think of at least 10 other black actresses that would do the job 10 times better than her.

What I disagree with is your belief that that woman does not put her heart and soul into performance. She is Iconic for a few reasons. She has been a multi-platinum selling artist for about 10 years. Name another female artist who has had that type of longevity and success for as long as she has. Sure you could name Brandy and Monica but name their last platinum album. B has done it every time.
Second, tell me you did not get a bit of a goose bump watching her perform. She puts in work whether it is a fast or slow song. She commands your attention. Not since early Tina Turner has someone had a stage presence and an ability to sing at the same time like B does. Sure Ciara is a great dancer but she can’t sing and dance at the same time. Rihanna is not quite good at either. She is the baddest when it comes to performance.

Finally, her voice is an instrument. She has a great falsetto, Vibrato and has unsurpassed ability to control her voice whether it is her runs or her ability to scat or her ability to crescendo and decrescendo smoothly and with out the aides of numerous studios interferences.
The 3 aforementioned talents is what makes her an icon. She has a talent that is classic. it is not your place to say whether talent is god given or not. Only God knows. So in the meantime give respect where respect is due. Notice I said respect and not admiration. Say what you want about the woman but her hard work, TALENT and tenacity is the reason why Miss B is not only on top of her game but the reason why she is an Icon.

Ok this was hilarious. I was having a get together last night when this came on and seriously,thank God for DVR, we rewinded it like 80 times. I mean the skit and the performance was great. However, even with all that, Im still not too excited about Beyonce’s album, nevertheless, she did great last night.

I will give Beyonce this I am in school and going back for another Degree and she was said when your in school you should focus. Beyonce has changed my opinion of her not only because she is an awesome performer but I don’t think she is the arrogant girl I thought she was. I will continue to look at her with a critical eye though. I like both Rihanna and Beyonce and Alica and Ashanti and Alicia and all the girls who go for what they want despite what people say. They continue to challenge themselves.

Some of you people spend way too much time arguing with one another about this woman like yall really know her personally. If you like her and her music then buy the album. If you don’t like her and her music then walk past her CD and turn the radio station when you don’t wanna hear it. It is that simple honestly.

Now to Beyonce. I loved her outfit for “if i were a boy” and love when she wears her hair like this as oppose to the hump on her head. The skit was hilarious especially JT. He made the skit what it was. Her performances didn’t do nothing for ME. Understand when I say ME. “If I were a boy” she basically screamed and used an echoed mic to make her notes seem higher. Don’t worry stans I know other artists have done this and in no way do I approve of it. The “single ladies” performance was cute, but she only sing half of the song and her backup singers sing the rest. I rather her not shake so hard and sing more than swinging her head and pumping so much that it doesn’t allow her to sing well or do both at the same time. I won’t be buying the album, but good luck to her in the end.
