The skit with JT was too funny. JT was absolutely hilarious in it, and I loved that Beyonce showed her personality. It was well written and acted out by everyone. The dancers were crazy.

Beyonce tore the SNL stage up!! I mean it’s only a small area, but her performances were grand. Who else can go from singing a ballad in full voice, to performing an uptempo song with choreography and singing at the same time. She was not only singing hard, but with that mic, and doing the choreography, working the crowd and getting it with the band. She is such an amazing talent.

Why waste times writing essays and critiquing videos of someone you don’t feel is a real “artist”. She has to be doing something write if you took the time to study her music and bring up her names. I love so many types of music, and singers, but I also believe that Beyonce is very talented at the top of her game, and is one of the most talented singers in the industry. Noone is doing it like her right now. I believe she is passionate about her craft, why else would she go all out on performances as she does, and travel the world giving her heart and soul to her music and fans. Beyonce is very skilled, but there’s something unbelievable about her performances (the ones that aren’t choreographed that is). When I watch her I feel like I’m watching an entertainer,but that’s it. It’s no different from going to the circus. You have fun. You’re entertained,but there’s no artistry. No REAL passion. She’s a great pretender;which is why it surprises me that she’s not a better actress. Then again, it does take passion to be a good actress as well. That,and God-given talent. I don’t think Beyonce has either. She has talent alright,but not the kind God gives. Beyonce is VERY ambitious. SHE works hard. SHE is driven. SHE siezes oppurtunities. She’s loved by the world and takes every oppurtunity to glorify herself in some way. Personally,I don’t think her talent warrants all of the attention and acculades she’s been given. I have to agree with people who say she’s no icon. She’s not. When I think of iconic artists I think of people like Stevie Wonder,Donny Hathaway,Ray Charles.They are some of the pioneers.More recent: Jimmy Hendrix and even Prince. He’s a great entertainer,but he’s also an ARTIST. He’s a real musician and writer. He makes music because it’s inately apart of him;not because he likes it and he wants to be a star. I think of singers whose voices are unparralleled: Aretha Franklin,Patti Labelle, Chaka Khan,Gladys Knight,Minnie Riperton. The more recent ones: Whitney Houston,Christina Aguilera,Jennifer Hudson. Then there’s the Neo-soul movement: Erykah Badu,Jill Scott,Musiq Soul Child,India Arie,Kindred (our modern day Ashford and Simpson),Angie Stone. They may not recieve the recognition that pop stars recieve but they are true artists and there music is inspiring and timeless. It’s not for the moment. It’s for a lifetime. I don’t think Beyonce fits the profile. Even her “folk” music is pop friendly and she isn’t even convincing in that arena. She should just stick to coochy popping club bangers. Beyonce wants us to believe that the “real” Beyonce is deep and relateable. But people gravitate more toward her overbearing persona “Sasha Fierce” because we all know that’s who she really is. That’s her comfort zone. If you have to force a sound or have someone else create a sound for you and it sounds like something someone else has already done and done better. Than it’s not your sound. Beyonce may be a multi-platinum,grammy winning vocalist;but she is still TRYING to find the artist within. I respect her hustle but I don’t respect her artistry. She has none to respect. She is indeed a gimmick. An attractive gimmick,but a gimmick none the less and I too can not buy into it.

Angie Stone has a song called “Soul Insurance” from her Mahogany Soul album.The song says it all and more.It represents many of the current fads that call themselves artist. Beyonce included. Take a listen. You might learn something.

You want me to watch B and study her and watch the other artists you mentioned to “learn something” I am not a singer or musician so why am I watching to learn anything?

The thing thats “unbelievable” is how easy Beyonce makes it seem. If you think you could do better then go ahead and use all the “learning” you acquired from Chaka and Minnie and show us what a real artist looks like you no talent hypocrite.

Personally you dont feel like her accolades are warranted? Personally I feel you are an unsuccessful person who shoots much hot air and are very irrelevent and just plain jealous that such a “souless pop star has so many people rooting for her.”

BEYONCE reminds me of the Girl in High School who is the captain of the CHEERLEADING TEAM, WAnts to Be PROM QUEEN and EVERYTHING ELSE!!! And then gets mad if she’s not. She works so hard, not doing things other artist don’t do, but PUBLISING WHAT SHE DOES!!!! it take a hell of a lot of work ethic to be an artist. Ok so she recorded 70 songs but plenty of artist do that when they are trying to come up with a direction for an album but NO ONE ADVERTISES THE FACT THAT THEY DID IT!!!!!!! There re plenty of artist that record and album and have a movie role at the same time, but she and her publisist throw it all up in your face when she takes a crap!!!

IF SHE IS SUCH A GOOD ACTRESS LETS SEE HER PLAY A PART OTHER THAN A SINGER!!!!

I am serious, every one can change their screen name, in the next beyonce post, let us turn the discussion back INWaRD to yourself, you are supposed to be spending the energy, time on yourself, not someone that doesn’ t know you exist.

We will get more value as a community by improving ourselves, not fighting over Beyonce, who doesn’t NEED YOU to fight for her.

YES WE CAN take our lives back and make the most of them, you all don’t realize it or know it but your behavior is treading on a mental disorder, let’s fight back and heal ourselves together.

This is the release day of Beyonce’s third album, I am sure she is very happy, I will be happy when I (this is true) finish painting the inside of my house, I have done the bottom floor but need to do the other floors. I also will be happy when my boyfriend comes back from overseas.

I wonder if Beyonce’s album is going to break a record in sales but I am also wondering if I can get this application submitted before the end of the year.

We have to break this craziness that is consuming us, and no one cares you all could go on and on like this for the rest of your lives while your relationships suffer, you children suffer (suffer in that they are not getting the energy that you are giving to a stranger) yes this is entertainment and it is about celebrities,but everything should be about you!

Man, that ‘Single Ladies’ performance was on point!!! She did that like she had something to prove. ‘Boy’ was also a lot more passionate than she’s ever done it. I think she’s starting to get used to performing the songs now and it shows.

SHE KILLED THAT PERFORMANCE AND HER BAND IS AWESOME.

Beyonce is awesome. List ONE other singer who can do all that kind of dancing AND sing live WITHOUT being out of breath OR off-tune.

Justin and those other guys made the skit hilarious. Bey was dry as toast as usual. However, she did kill the “Single Ladies” performance. I just can’t get with “If I was a Boy”. Ci-Ci covered that chapter last year, and we didn’t need to revisit it. LOL

I agree 100% Asia. These kiddies can’t recognize true artists. People are living with that “fake it to make it” mentality. The truh always shines through in the end. SMDH!

WHO are these PEOPLE that have been talking about her Cadillac records performance?? Exactly who are they? People kill me throwing out statements like that with no proof to back it up. Sounds like regular BS to me. I saw the trailer, and the acting looked the same. Don’t hype it like there was drastic improvements. The acting hasn’t changed. She was wack in the SNL skit and Justin and the others carried it, but I can say she did a better job at reading the teleprompters.

Where I work is highly competitive and you are paid based upon your performances. Just like Beyonce’. I am neither here or there when it comes to being a fan. But I think that you all have the wrong message. She is working to make a better future for herself and her family and whoever else means something in her life. I can relate to her, I think that we all can. We all want to be successful at what we do, we all want a somewhat glam life(on different levels) and none of us like to struggle. The thing of it is whether you are a hater or a stan. Some part of you want what she has whether ir is the money, the lifestyle or to even know where your next meal is coming from. Life is to short to argue about some one elses career or status. Make one for yourself. Beyonce doesnt even know you all even exist. So embrace talent or don’t.
