I love him he is a genious I wish that Beyoncé stan could shut his mouth sometimes and he tries to hard to be different from other rappers, singin and dressin different while he sings horribly specially with the tpain voice effect! I do admire though he tries to step out of the box and his courage for his mother’s death.
I miss the old Knaye concerning the album, I bought 808’s and I am still tryin to like, gotta grow on me, comparing to the previous works its different but I know Mr West tries to do new things.
450,000 his first week? Well, now I believe artists are fallin’, damn, dont even want to know for Ludacris and Akon! People dont buy cds anymore! I am scared for the upcoming albums of Brandy, Ciara, Keri Hilson, even Britney lol, the sells are decreasing so much!

This recession is definitely taking its toll. Kanye is a good artists, but his attitude stinks like Solange. People not gonna spend their hard earned money on an arrogant person anymore. I do like some of the songs off the album though, but I won’t purchase it since my boyfriend has it.

I like the old Kanye the Best “Mr. Jesus Walks”. What happened to the conscious rapper? Fame! that’s what happened. I just wish he could promote this album instead of talking about Beyonce in every interview, let Jay do that Ye, I mean damn.

Now what’s shocking to me is that no one is saying how Ye Swagga Jacked T-Pain. It’s crazy how there is a double standard in the industry for females but not for males. Kayne fell off. His first album was his best, I guess like most artists. Graduation was mediocre at best, the best song - Glory - he never released. Its’ all about the Benjamins for Ye, no more conscious rapping, only rapping that makes dollars and cents. So sad

I didn’t like the album as a whole, but I’m sure diggin’ Heartless.
I don’t know. People always hate on Kanye, calling him arrogant, diva, yada yada. I actually like that. I think he’s earned it and it does in fact keep me interested in what he’s going to do next. I think its funny someone on here compared him to Solange. What has she earned? Hell, even the right to call Beyonce her sister was given to her. But, I digress. Go Kanye!

I loooooooooooooooooove his new stuff. Kanye’s album did less well, I think, because he didn’t pander to urban outlets…he wanted this to be a pop effort and with MTV doing away with TRL, what other platform did he have to push his record? Did he think about that? It’s the best pop album that’s been out in a long time by a mile…and if Beyonce sold over 400K and Britney sales in that range, his album should have outsold them both combined. I think it was marketing…

and i’m not even a hater, because his last album was kind of good, except this fucking “drunk and hot girls” song…but this album…no no no! its not even creative, it’s t-pain with an even more wack voice than t-pains!

A lot of people aren’t feeling 808’s and Heartbreaks, and it might make Kanye revert back to rapping, but I love the album and its a classic to me. Period.

sad that his album wont do that good… but hopefully all that will be wrong!

Props to Ye for trying something new. The album is ok but I dont LOVE it like I did the first and third album. And I HATE THAT VOCODDER THING so hopefully he goes back to rapping.

I don’t think Kanye should worry about the record sales….the recession is a mutha…and most people get their cds bootleg now anyway…really to be honest the cd format is dead anyway…the last time I bought a cd was Badu’s New Amerykah album and that was because i wanted the artwork inside the booklet…..kanye is such a visual person he should do something crazy like a graphic novel or something to go with his cd’s…now i would buy that.

For those of you inquiring about record sells check Billboard. According to Billboard Ye moved 450K units. I honestly thought he would have sold more than Beyonce with his last record sales. I don’t think it has anything to do with a recession because Taylor Swift sold over 600k and she sold more this week because her album is number 2. She has been out I think for about 3 weeks. I have seen Britney all over the news with major networks and cable networks displaying something about her nearly everyday. I guess we shall see how her comeback is. I am buying her cd Friday.

I bought Kanye’s CD and I like it. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It sounds like he was hurting or maybe someone else was. I love Say You Will, Welcome to Heartbreak, Heartless, Amazing and all the rest. Although, some it reminds me of the 80’s music like the music from my fav 80’s movies like 16 candles and the other one Molly R.

Kanye fell off because there are better rappers than him in this world. Seriously open your mind when your idol rappers go commercial people gravitate to street rappers. France rappers and uk rappers are much more hardcore than american rappers.

Since when is selling 450,000 records in a week not a success in 2008…and the negro flipped the script on his style and still sold more than any rapper this year besides Lil Wayne!!

Check the billboards…only 1-3 rappers are going platinum a year….records don’t sell like that anymore people…I think 450,000 is amazing considering all the love/hate going on with this album.
