Say what you want about Christina Aguilera but, that woman can sing! In my opinion she stole the show with her song and performance! It was absolutely amazing! She showed a depth of soul and technical expertice (breath control) that made me want to go out and buy her CD. She sounded soooo good. She sang a song from the play Porgy & Bess that rivalled the original. Shouts and respect to John M and BB King for doing the blues “correctly.” Also, another great performance.

I think whether win or lose I say congratulations to all the nominees I think it is an honor for them just to be nominated. Madonna only has five does that make her any less of an entertainer. Michael Jackson only has 13 and Whitney Houston has 6 however all three are musical Icons and can put most musicians today to shame based on record sales alone.

Hopefully the right people win Alicia, Jamine, Jennifer because they deserve it more than anybody.

It’s more important that people remember you more than how popular you are, how much money you have, or how many awards you have nobody really cares, but the media and other people who really don’t open their eyes.

I was just writing back to the confused who were askin why alicia is not nominated in more categories, why me myself and i is nominated this year, why all those artists who didnt even dominate the year were nominated; thats why I wrote this, I have nothing against anybody, I guess you dont like Beyoncé but dont read too much between the lines, everybody else understood what I was explainin’.

Keys, Rhianna and Chris Brown didn’t get nominated a lot even though they dominated the radios and clubs because their albums came out in 07. i don’t think Grammy counts re releases as the real release date…Yeah i would have loved to see my baby girl Rhi Rhi get more nominations but, it is what it is..

christinas performance was Amazing! I have even more admiration for her now! Mariah also sang beautifully, though I think Miss you most at christmas would have been a better song to sing. Either way those two ladies run the show vocally, with unmatched 5 and 4 octaves.

The grammys is almost a joke now, the types of people they allow to even get nominations is mind boggling! ie. kate perry.

They need to get the message across that the best singers, songwriters are awarded and POPULARITY should not be a major factor! Despite all the drama surrounding their personal lives Mariah and Usher’s albums were good and deserved to get nominated at least. The fact that Alicia wasn’t nominated in some of the more major categories is crazy. I got love for B, but I didn’t find anything about her live version of Me Myself and I that was so exceptional it should be nominated, Flaws and All live was better IMO. I’m feeling Jazmine so I hope she wins some. I”m sorry but JHuds cd was a hot mess and boring. The Grammy’s have become such a disappointment I doubt I’ll be watching.
