GIFTS UNDER $100: FOR HIM

Monday, December 8, 2008

giftshim.jpg

Tis the season to be jolly…and on a budget. Yes we all know its beginning to look like a tight Christmas but, the economy can’t totally take away our spirit to shop. It’s just this year, it’s more important than ever to appreciate the little things when it comes to gift giving.

Tis the reason for this list…here are some great finds online to give to the guys - all under $100…

1. Puffed Vest w/ optional hood ($19.50) - Following the moncler and bubble trend, this would be the gift to give for the guy who always has to stay on point with his style, even in the cold.

2.
pillow talk wall art ($40.00) - Clearly this sexy wall art would be perfect for the bachelor who loves a certain…something about women.

3. stacking utensil set ($20.00) - For the guy who can’t manage to stay clean…maybe this lego inspired utensil set will get him to finally do the dishes.

4. Presto Fry Daddy Deep Fryer ($24.99) - This one can go to the man who loves his kitchen…or will at least try to step foot in one. The fry daddy easily makes great golden french fries, onion rings, and chicken.

5. herringbone fur trapper ($13.50) - Give this gift to the guy who needs to take a break on his cap and skully. This fur trapper will surely keep his head from catching a cold this winter.

6.
NBA Live 09 ($39-$49) - This one clearly goes to the man who can’t stay away from his Xbox or WII. This new NBA Live will surely keep him infront of his game system even longer.

7.
Burberry Check Woven Boxers ($32.90) - If you’re looking to upgrade a man’s style with some designer duds this season, this boxer set wold be a cool start.

8. The Reaquisition BackPack ($75.00) - This can be the perfect gift for the male student…enabling him to style out on the campus and still making the grade.

I’d take everything except the Lego utensils & The red bag, that’s just too feminine.
And being in college (FAMU! GO RATTLERS!!!) I can say this budget is very accessible.

The graphics are probably better on XBOX 360 than PS3, for NBA Live, but that game would be a good gift. The vest is my choice for my father.

Americans are so funny. “Yeah I know the economy’s bad, but let’s waste money anyways” lol. “We can’t let a bad economy discourages us from buying useless crap, that has nothing to do with “Christmas” whatsoever.

spending on this shit, while people are in debt, just makes the big corps have more money, to not give to us, and increase the disparity between the wealthy and the poor.

1% of the U.S. population, has 40% of the wealth in the U.S., people. 20% has 80% of the wealth. Remember that when you are giving away your hard earned money, for a name brand purse.

Buying things may give companies profits, but they also give companies the oppurtunity to make more jobs. As everyone can see now, companies lose=Employees lose jobs. I would go on long and do a tirade and a rant worth of debating but i have a Final in 3 hours, so Reese’s Pieces PPL!

Overspending, is what brought the U.S. economy to where it’s at now. And live in your fantasy world, if you think it’s making “more” jobs. These companies would rather go overseas/outside the country, where labor is cheaper, before establishing a base here, where they have tons more overhead ie: minimum wage is higher, union requirements, insurance requirements, worker’s comp, I can go on and on.

and not to mention, wastefulness is what’s ruining our environment
