working in hospitality (hotels & the like, for those that don’t know– NOT hospitals) does not make you professional. Believe me, i know cuz i used to work in that industry too. I met some of the ghettoist & uneducated people there. You definately don’t need a degree to work in hospitality.

I am simply saying that constantly using short and abbreviated words is not a good thing and I blame part of it on texting. You have some teachers right now who are upset with some of their students for using these words on exams, reports and etc. U R instead of You Are is not acceptable and should never be.
