After the recent tragedies with her family, Academy Award winning actress and recording artist Jennifer Hudson is finally making her way back to the spotlight.
It has been reported that she will shot a new music video next week for her second single, “If This Isn’t Love,” from her self-titled debut. She was originally slated to shoot the clip for the video before the murders of her mother, brother and nephew.
I had thought that the promotional trail for Jennifer had come to an end, and understandably so, but I’m glad to see that she’s decided to not stop working on the album.
Jennifer also was nominated for 4 Grammy’s this year, for best R&B album, best female R&B vocal performance, best R&B song for “Spotlight” and best R&B performance by a duo or group with vocals for her duet with Fantasia, “I’m His Only Woman.” Here’s what she had to say about the nominations:
“It’s been a childhood dream of mine to release an album,” she said in a statement, “so to receive four Grammy nominations is truly a blessing. I’m extremely honored and humbled by the nominations.

The most heavily anticipated concert event of the year, Beyonce’s I Am Tour will mark the artist’s first full-length concerts since 2007′s sold-out The Beyonce Experience and will premiere live performances of songs from I Am… Sasha Fierce, her latest international #1 chart-topping album. BRANDY ALREADY TALKING NEW ALBUM?
Even though Brandy released her new album, Human just days ago, it seems as though she’s already talking about her sixth studio album!
On the new album, Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins was the primary producer, as he has been in the past with Brandy, but on her fourth album, 2004′s critically acclaimed Afrodisiac, Timbaland helms most of the production and served as executive producer. And although she recorded songs with Timbaland for the new album, Human, none of those tracks made the album.
“One of the reasons why is because it’s hard to get Timbaland’s voice on records, and we really wanted his voice to be on the records,” she tells Rap-Up.com. “It’s not that they’re not good, it’s just that we couldn’t work it out where he could actually be on the album.”
But Brandy reveals that if she has it her way the next time around, the album will be executive produced by both Rodney Jerkins and Timbaland.
“I think I’m gonna work with Timbaland again heavy for my next album. He’s one of the most talented producers, I think, to ever exist,” she disclosed. “I would love to do an album with him and Rodney together, like they actually executive produce it together. That would be a dream of mine.”
I wonder what’s got Brandy talking about a new album so soon? I think maybe she’s been online and reading some comments about how fans were disappointed that Timbaland tracks didn’t make the album. Just yesterday, one of the tracks, in their entirety, “Drumlife” leaked.

I am excited about Britney’s tour tho, she’s having this really kewl concept tour centering around “Circus,” and it gives this awesome metaphor that pretty much sums up her life during these past 2 years. It’s sooo kewl. Say what you want about Britney but the girl keeps fresh & innovative team that helps her stay on top. Beyonce/Sasha needs help in this area. I mean her concerts are always high energy but there is no pzazz! I would like to say that I am 100% sure that Brandys album is something she should be proud of and I fell it should be nominated for a grammy.. The album for me is Amazing. AND IM NOT JUST SAYING THAT BECAUSE IM HER BIGGEST FAN. From the Intro to the end I was in love. The songs which stand out to me are FALL, PIANO MAN, LONG DISTANCE, CAMOFLAUGE,RIGHT HERE DEPARTED, ACAPELLA, FIRST AND LOVE. I honestly believe that Brandy really took her time with it.. The title Track Human. is a song that is amazing because of the arrangement, lyrical content and that flavor only brandy can give. Over all I say Brandy Gets A A+++, 5 stars, perfect score

The singer’s rep confirms that Usher and his wife Tameka have a new addition to the family: a baby boy.
“Usher and Tameka Raymond welcomed their second son, Naviyd Ely Raymond, on Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2:33 a.m. weighing 5 lbs., 13 oz.,” says the rep. “Tameka and the baby are doing fine.”
Naviyd joins older brother Usher Raymond V, who turned 1 on Nov. 26. The parents married in 2007. Tameka, 37, also has three sons from a previous relationship.
A source tells PEOPLE that Usher was at his wife’s side during the delivery.
Last month, he told Access Hollywood that his soon-to-arrive baby was “one of the best Christmas gifts there is to have.”
“I’m so proud to be a father by the time I’m 30,” Usher (who hit the big 3-0 in October) told PEOPLE back in August. “I’d hate to be 80 years old and not be able to run with my kids. I need to still be able to do flips when they’re in high school!”

I’m not feeling Bee’s new album that much but will probably go see her. She is a performer and will be well worth the ticket price. As for Brandy, something about the new album just didn’t do it for me, I absolutely love Brandy’s delivery but the songs are missing that R&B feel. As for J-Hud is it good to see her out and about and trying to promote the album, I think that she will probably win a Grammy but not because “Spotlight” or her album was worthy of it but because of the events that happened in her life and this will come across as a triumphant moment, we shall see. I do wish her the best, this may too soon to come back on the seen, maybe after the trial and ol’ boy has been convicted.

now on to Cadillac Records…I saw it today and it was SOOOO good…I laughed, I cried, Jeffery Wright was the TRUTH as Muddy Waters-everyone else was good incl. Columbus Short, Gabby, Cedrick the Enterainer, the brotha who played Howlin’ Wolf, Mos Deff, Adrienne Brody, Vincent Denafrio(sp), and Beyonce was very good (and too dang pretty) as Etta James-some else coulda played the role but they didn’t so….(LMAO) and it is definitely the Ray (based on it’s great historical, cultural, and musical content) of 2008. It’s a great film and I’m sure your grandma or grandpa would love to go see it w/you

Brandy’s new album is just beautiful. Dignified and refined. That said, I did like the direction she took with Timbaland on Afrodisiac. Rodney and Tim bring out the best in Brandy so if they’re gonna work with her on album #6 then I’m sre it’ll be worth the wait.

I’ve been to the Beyonce Experience and enjoyed it a lot. She’s a great performer and definitely gives you your money’s worth. I won’t be going to the new tour though cause I don’t really like anything from this new album. Much luck to her though.
Brandy’s Acapella song is so great. I’m going to buy her album since I’ve heard the samples and loved it. Honestly she doesn’t need Timbaland. He’s a great producer, but he has more of that dance, electronica stuff which is great, but not for Brandy.
