I hear you, but here’s the thing- Mary was known as the remake queen at one time. The difference in her re-making songs and Keyshia re-making Mary is MARY MADE THE SONG HERS! You didn’t care and some didnt even know Rose Royce did I’m Going Down first! Daydreaming was Natalie Cole but again Mary made it her own and so on and so on. People would go on Apollo and say they were singing MJB’s I”m Going Down not the other way around. a good remake is the artist admiring the original artist’s work but putting their own stamp to it. Keyshia to me is trying to be Mary and that will never happen.

I can’t listen to the song since the site is blocked (I’m at work) but I don’t think Miss Cole has the best voice but we can’t blame her for trying to make a buck since everyone else does. If she worked with the right people she could possibly be a better singer. There are really not a lot of real singers out there, more males than females. And why should LiL Wayne stop what he’s doing just because ya’ll are tired of him, thats just like saying we should quit our jobs because we get tired of working knowing we can’t afford to.

Mary at her “Prime?” You make it seem as if MJB has fallen off. Her cd’s are still selling 600,000 and 700,000 first week out. Some artist don’t sell 500,000 in a year. And that was no more than 3 years ago. So mary is still in her prime. Now as for Keyshia redoing a classic…Thats a major no no..Keyshia could have tried to do something off “whats the 411″ a little more hip hop, urban and perhaps pulled it off better. But when you touch the My Life album, a cd Mary was “Singing” to K Ci and felt every word, key key should have broken up with a man and yearn for that love and then go into the studio and try it, cause Mary felt every word from the intro to be happy off the album. And as someone stated earlier Mary did do alot of remakes, but she made each song her own, and brought a new meaning to the song she covered…”A dream”, “Im going down” “Sweet Thang”….she didnt try to be that person she was copying but bringing that person lyrics into her life, and voice

CL first off please remove that pic of Keyshia.That pic is horrible. Keyshia we noticed the gap was gone you didn’t have to make that face… Anyway! Keyshia is my favorite singer and my role model and I know this couldn’t have been the mastered version. I know she can do much better than that. She has a great voice but I don’t think this is the song for her anyway. She should stick to her songs because they are always great and anyone who says they aren’t are only haters! Do your thing Keyshia, I will always be a fan.
