I don’t think she is trying to be like Beyonce. I think she is evolving just like Mary J. did. This is a good direction for her. I will buy the album definitely because I see that she is trying to accomplish something and the message in her songs is great. Beyonce is the good at making songs with catchy hooks and Keyshia makes the songs that make you feel it down in your soul and make you feel like you have been through it too. Each of her songs mean something and they aren’t just dance tracks and nice hooks.

Keyshia’s music you can listen to next year all 2 or 3, I can’t listen to single ladies forever.

Why do people have to push these albums out back to back, especially if they sound the same? I wish she would have either waited until next year or developed a new sound. “A New Me” sounds like the old Keyshia mixed with the new Mary J.

I love K. Cole and can’t wait till her album comes out, but I really do wish she would stop using the show on BET to gather hype around her having an album coming out. Season 1 and 2 were cool, but 3 is just a mess and pointless now. It’s not even about her anymore it’s all about Frankie and Neffie.

The first cd was good, but the second cd was one of the best to come out last year. every single she dropped went to #1 and stayed there for weeks. the radio still play “i Remember” and “heaven sent” those are the songs that are going to make Keyshia stand out, this cd is wack. it took Mary years to go from whats the 411 to Growing Pains and we got to see that progression and growth. this cd seems rushed, love you Keyshia but i dont want a different you, i want the you that i was digging on the last two cd’s.

I was simply giving a referance of Keyshia and Mary since people seem to say that they are so much alike. When Keyshia came out she was talking about the same stuff Mary was taking about, Keyshia was strickly and R&B girl as well as Mary. I love all of Mary’s cd’s as well as Keyshia’s and if you listen to where they BOTH are NOW….you will see that they are BOTH just getting to try things outside of just R&B meaning POP, that is what I meant. Mary and Keyshia have ALWAYS talked about love and pain and bad relationships and love songs on previous CD’s. If you look at them BOTH now…they are starting to try to cross over talking more about love, being in love, having fun etc which is not bad. So….#32 I was speaking about the direction Mary and Keyshia are going in NOW and NOT where they have been.

I think Keyshia is trying to switch up, because some people were complaining she “male bashed” too much in her songs, so she is trying to be more fun, laidback, and “sexy”–this time around. Personally, I didn’t think her songs were hateful towards men, just common issues/complaints of most young women in their 20’s about life and love–*shrug*–I loved The Way it Is, it was a fresh sound, unique–the second cd was okay, this next one is not appealing to me, but I wish her well!!

the album has to grow on me. i believe it was a bad mistake to release “playa cards right” as the first single. i don’t think its gonna do well. keyshias choice of produckers except for trackmasters were horrible decisions. i would’ve garnered a whole new respect if she completely changed and broke through with a new sound. don’t see this album going platinum.

The snippets are worthy! One thing I’ve learned about Keyshia is that her music is like good $ex… You can’t really judge it until you’ve been in it for a while and all the juices are flowin. You just be riding along listening to her tract and all of a sudden the songs hit you like a musical crescendo that reaches a climax… AHHHH!

Trying to compare Beyonce and Keyshia is like trying to compare Mariah and Mary. YOu really cant they have totally different styles. There is room in the game for all of them. DC is not the biggest selling female group of all time TLC is DC just gets the title because people group there solo albums with their group sales. I honestly like Bey and Keyshia. I believe music has changed and instead of pushing an album artist are forced to do videos and just release one or two singles.
