#3 Brandy didn’t receive her just due??? She was America’s first black “sweetheart”…she was mainstream and popular as heck…No other black person got all the deals and opportunities she did. Of course, she eventually grew up and, like every other child star, struggled to find footing as an adult in the industry. Her type of music, her voice, her image…it just wasn’t trendy when in the new millennium. The only people who survived being teen stars were the really precocious and raunchy ones like Britney Spears and Beyonce. But Beyonce’s Dad was smart enough to have her pretend to be quintessentially the shy girl next door so that she could still be marketable to kids in the mainstream. If Brandy had been raunchier she might have had a shelflife…as awful as that sounds.

Number 76: I am not trying to come for you but, as far as the type of music that Brandy makes, she is in a league of her own and she does it very well. So whoever said that no one is touching her musically or artistically is correct. The Full Moon album was released in 2002 and today’s artists are just now catching on. She could release songs from that album and they would fit right in with what is in rotation now. The same can be said for the Afrodisiac album (listen to One Republic’s “Apologize”).

Brandy does not make music for the times, she makes it for the ages. With that being said, the album is really, really good and there is something on there for everyone. PLEASE SUPPORT BRANDY DECEMBER 9TH!!!!

#31 Are you insane??? clearly you have no musical ear. her voice hasnt deteriorated, its gotten strong and she’s developed vocally, in ways unimaginable. what Brandy has on these other R&B chicks, is SKILL! she has her own loane and no ones dumb enough to try to get in that lane. because its not possible.Brandy is an up and coming Legend, and even though she’s underated, every album she’s put out is a classic especially Full Moon, and from what I’m hearing Human will be too

I’ve already pre-ordered the CD on iTunes. I like the end of the song and video the best. I remember when “Have You Ever” had to grow on me, now it’s one of my top 5 Brandy songs. “Long Distance” is headed there too. Brandy executes beautifully, and she’s grown into a beautiful woman.

I absolutely hated this song when I first heard it, but after hearing over and over again and seeing the video I love it. It almost made me cry on about the twentieth listen because the words began to resonate. This is the single of the year for me now.

Brandy does have an Asian look, she is very popular in Asian countries. She is very talented and has amazing voice. She comes across as a genuinely decent person. The guy in the video is very nice looking. Neither have the popular ‘wanna be a caucasion’ look
