It goes without saying that Beyonce killed the track. It’s HER song! Why did Ciara even make the attempt? I like Ciara, but if you’re not going to do it better than the original artist or at least do a comparable job, just leave it alone. Honestly people really missed the idea of a mixtape. This is what happens on a mixtape is that you sample other beats and do your own versions. My goodness people blow things out of proportion. Like someone stated earlier she also sampled Slim’s “so fly” beat in another song. People talking about vocals for this song? Vocals are not really needed and between Beyonce’s yelling and Ciara’s whispering, the overall concept and beat of the song is dumb. IT’s a recycled a milli beat where the bass was taken out making the beat terrible in the first place. If you are talking style wise the song fits Ciara’s style more because she was always an atl crunk type of girl and Beyonce’s whole Sasha Fierce image is a fluke to me.

I am so glad that I’m above the age of 21 and can make an unbiased opinion. I am an 80’s child so I know real music when I hear it. I don’t believe that just because you like an artist, you should automatically like ALL their songs. With that being said, I like Ciara’s version better. Beyonce has a country “twang” to her voice and it sounds awkard. Ciara has the personality to match with the song and her “voice” sounds better on the track. This track is not about “singing”. It’s about the beat and the lyrics (like most current songs nowadays….). Beyonce should stick to the pop songs about dancing and looking fly, shaking her behind etc….Ciara is a more dancing hard, hood type. She definetely killed it. Beyonce even messed the video up with all that hair shaking and booty bouncing choreographed nonesence. I could just see Ciara dancing in the warehouse to this song-FREESTYLING with just jeans and a tank top like Janet did in pleasure principal. Kelis 2009-this chick is gone to rock! Solange’s album was a good album as well but people want to label her only as Beyonce’s lil sister and not recognize her as a good song writer. I clicked on Cici’s version out of curiosity expecting a good laugh and she is actually more credible than Beyonce singing this type of song. Every time I hear Diva, I can’t even believe that it made the album. It sounds like something that Beyonce recorded in the studio to release tension and play. So shocked that it made the album and even more so that she is releasing it as a single. The only rational reason that I can make out of it is that she felt compelled to do so for Jay-z, since he probably wrote it for her. Beyonce!! Is this even a SERIOUS question. Come on now. Ciara was half way “singing” on the track. Even though it wasn’t a ballad or n e thing of that sort, Beyonce’s voice rode the beat and was very STRONG on the track as it should have been. Some might try to say “oh this doesn’t fit Beyonce”, but she sure did jump on that track and OWN it. Even when Ciara says “diva is a female version of a hustla” it sounds so forced, and doesn’t come n e where close to the original.

Also Ciara isn’t a DIVA so it makes no sense for her to sing this song. She has not headlined any world tours although she has been a solo artist for quite a while. Her recent album was pushed ALL THE WAY BACK, as to not compete with Beyonce or any other artists coming out this time. Brandy came out as planned, Britney came out, Keyshia came out, but when it was time for Ciara to drop she disappeared because her album buzz was NOWHERE. Now that’s not being a DIVA. Gogirl barely charted on Billboard, her magazine covers have flopped.

All the while she’s jumping on the track of an artist who SHE DID NOT WANT TO COMPETE AGAINST. lmao. She is cool in her lane of dancing, but DIVA’s dont’ jump on anothers track just to shamelessly try to promote their “first single” at the end. I just don’t thnik she is the same Beyonce from Destiny’s Child. Kelly and Michelle are not worried about Beyonce. Everyone is starting to see that Beyonce’ star is slowly not shining so bright anymore. Kelly and Michelle has no where to go but up….Kelly is big in Europe she sells more venue tickets than Beyonce, Beyonce is not big in the UK, her album only sold 70k and ticket sales are low. (check facts before you start spitting hater). Michelle’s dance songs are on the charts, Latoya’s coming out with a new album. People are tired of Beyonce because of her being overexposed, she has no choice but to sit soon.

Her new music is boring not mature. Her and daddy Knowles needs to stop strong arm robing people for their songs. IIWAB with her singing it is laughable. BC Jean’s version was 100 times better.
