Electrik Red is on their third single, “So Good,” from their debut album, How to Be a Lady: Volume 1, which is entirely produced by Tricky Stewart and The Dream. The Def Jam girl group didn’t have much luck with their first single, “Drink In My Cup,” which has remained slightly under the radar and have barely given any promotion (not even iTunes) to their second single, “Friend Lover,” which they’ve actually shot a video for.
The new single, “So Good” is like a mash-up between Prince’s girl group, Vanity 6 and Rick James’s Mary Jane Girls. Seems like all of the songs that have a leaked from the girls’ album sounds like something that The Dream could have recorded from his first album, Love/Hate. Maybe “So Good” will get a little more media attention than the other singles have.

This sounds like it was from 1995. And it reminded me a lot of LL’s “My Baby” when she kept saying “So Good.” both from the dream.

OK. I actually know this group and there really good. All of them are trained dancers and have all worked with top artist; Ciara, Ne-Yo, Snoop, Usher to name a few. Look out for them.

The song in itself is hot, but their vocals are lacking something which is making the song kinda wack.
If someone elese was singing it, it would be dope. The lead vocalist sounds like a drunk Keyshia Cole. I wasn’t feeling their first single either.

lol i recognize two of them. i respect the way they got out there. dance. one of them was in dreamgirls in the beginning before jennifer and them went on stage for the talent show. from the drink in my cup song on their myspace i think they may want to stick to dancing imo.
The lead sounds like old skool Missy in some places. Could’ve been a hit if it was released in ’96. I wish them all the luck in the world but this song put me to sleep.

Wow I agree with the 2 previous posts, this sounds exactly what Kelis would come up with, especially while she was with Star Trak. I actually would have thought this was her, if I just heard it randomly somewehere. With that said, the song is pretty good, so I’ll say it’s hot. The lead singing on this track reminds me of T Boz too for some reason. I think it’s the raspy and whispery tone.

The beat is good and that’s about it. The lyrics are stupid and the vocals are the worse.

I really like the song it should have been their first single. They are bringing back the 80″s Vanity Six and the Mary Jane girls were 80″s not 90″s
