India.Arie ft. Gramps Morgan - Therapy
India.Arie’s second volume in her series of “Testimony” albums, “Love & Politics,” will arrive in stores on February 10.
We posted the lead single from the Universal Republic set, “Chocolate High,” (featuring Musiq Soulchild) a few weeks ago. And now here is the second single “Therapy” featuring Jamaican roots artist Gramps Morgan. It definitely has a nice vibe it. Hot or Not?

It’s jusr OKAY..
The beginning sounds like White People Gospel music..
And her voice doesn’t really fit the song in some places but it is still and okay song. Not that great IMO.

i loooooooove her voice, this music is timeless. She is so real, natural & refreshing…she is a huge breath of fresh air compared to what has been forced in our faces from these other female artists out here.. take notes: THIS IS REAL MUSIC..

I love India but im not feeling this beebop track at all…
And if yall soo tired of Beyonce and the Rihanna’s nobody is forcin ya to listen to them…there is plenty of good music out here to listen to besides the mainstream and the commerical…heres a few good artist I love that maybe you guys may like to check out:even the tracks to listen too
TEEDRA MOSES-great singer I recommend her track *Take My Love Away*
EMILY KING-Walk In My Shoes
DEEMI-Little Girl ft. Remy Ma
COULTRAIN-GREEN (the best song in 2008)
CHANDLAR-Never Thought
ERIC ROBERSON-right or wrong (this dude is soooo incredible)
JANELLE MONAE-PEACH TREE BLUES
ANTHONY HAMILTON-IM COOL
AMEL LARRIUEX-GET UP
NATASHA BEDINGFIELD-LOVE LIKE THIS
HIL. ST. SOUL-SWEETEST DAYS
CHRISETE MICHELLE-GOOD GIRL
etc etc etc
I COULD GO ON AND ON……lol
thats just to name a few
im 23 so my taste may just be a lil mature for some of you young bloods on here…but once your able to appreciate good music you can just about listen to anything that has soul or sounds good.
If you keep your ears open wide enough youll hear music waaay beyond the bullsh*t thats out there…nowadays if you wanna hear great music you gotta go underground to discover it because nowadays thats where hollwierd is placin all the good new and up and coming artist that actually pocess real talent…..

Its a little different for India but thats a good thing. The song still has her signature touch, her voice is gawjuss and she is just so distinct.
I have loved every single one of her albums and I’m hoping the industry will embrace great music in 2009.

I agree with number #1 as for #20 I think you misunderstood what she meant. The constant 2 artists named above are on concrete 24/7. It’s getting boring.
Now to this post…love what India always does. It’s always about loving yourself and being proud of who you are as an individual. Not the clothes you wear, not the hair your rocking and definitely not the jewelry your flashing (there’s more to life than style and looks)

I really enjoyed this song, not so much for how groundbreaking it is; but relative to India’s artistry, how positive the song is. I think these days so much energy is placed into what is catchy (i.e. Umbrella, Singles Ladies, Shawty is the Sh_t, etc.), that we don’t listen to words or the artistic value of the song. Now I am not encouraging folks to base a song only on its lyrics, vocal ability and song production has a lot to do with it too, but I ask that people just listen more….you will be pleasantly surprised. Great Job India - I can’t wait for your new project

It was ok. I wouldn’t buy her album based off this single. The thing is, that I love India’s vocals but she needs to do better than this.
I just went back and listened to “Chocolate High,” and it is very good. I love that joint.

#15 so let’s have India’s breast and butt cheeks hanging out and that would make her so beautiful and accepted huh??? And #31 ignorance ia seeping out of you, I can see it! What is ugly? dark skin? full lips? a wide nose? SKIN SUCCESS???
Oh my goodness! Why do we think this way. So she should bleach like Beyonce and Rihanna? Get surgery so you ignorant, self-hating black people will accept her and give her props! Her REAL fans love her from the inside out! THINK, people, THINK before you spew out this negative stuff about our people! Remember Imus-you sound exactly like him!!

I appreciate India for being diverse with her collaborations. To include 1 of the greatest reggae artist on this track just opened the window for her to embrace more fans that have an appreciation for that genre of music.
I’m impressed with the 2 singles so far. I’m a fan, so I will be getting this CD when it hits the stores.

I LOVE India…..the song is playing soooo fast on my computer it sounds like the chipmunks, but I know I will love the song, India never lets me down.
People please stop with comparing other artist. My mood determines my music. If Im getting ready to go the club, Im listen to something thats gonna get me hype. If Im depressed, Imma listen to something to cheer me up. If Imma on my way to church, Imma listen to gospel. I appreciate all music: Beyonce’s, Rihanna’s, Lauryn Hill’s, Stevie’s, Janet’s, India’s, Prince’s, Fall Out Boy’s, Maroon 5’s, Celine’s, ect…

I love india Irie for so many reasons. Her music is not only positive but it is also deep! Her voice is so soulful and amazing, she is so underated it stinks! Anyway back to the topic at hand: I love this song it is so good, I can’t wait until her album drops. When it does I hope it’s promoted well because she deserves to enjoy sucess like most of the female artist out now who talk about a bunch of nothing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@ 37…..there is no need to talk bad about another artist. I personally don’t think India is that cute, and it has nothing to do with skin color. You like what you like. It’s not self hate. Black is beautiful because it’s comes in all forms, shapes, shades, and sizes.

#42 I was not hating,I was referring to B’s and RiRi’s skin color in contrast to India’s! I like who I like too, and listen to all kinds of music! I just don’t like black people automatically calling someone ugly because they don’t look like what the media dictates as beautiful or accepted. That is on the music content tip also–music with meaning and content is not as accepted as the repetitive, empty stuff that is in our ears constantly!! No hate, just reality!

This is crap! I’m sorry, I like India, but this sounds like some ole Beyonce, Rhianna, Tierra Marie pop bull! Her voice is not made for this type of song and feel. She needs ta stay in her lane. I’m not giving her a pass:(

Finally a change of pace of female artists on this site. I must say I commend India for always staying true to her artistry.
Well I listened to the “Chocolate High” track since I missed that post a few weeks ago and it’s pretty cool, I like the chill vibe that it has. I have the same sentiments about this track, it’d be something I’d listened to while I’m relaxing.
